Probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, had an evening eal that was simply awful. Felt like a reheat from lunchtime. It was inedible. My partner had fresh prawns which were, according to her, not bad. The room, the glenfiddic room was simply awful. Apart from being too small for a hotel room, the decor was simply awful. The radiator was hanging off the wall. There was a huge, what lookedike a vomit stain on the carpet. The bathroom was tiny and it was difficult to get the balance rifgt between roasting and freezing. Even though we paid for breakfast, we decided to skip it and run like hell away from this most awful hotel

A great big shout out to Claire and her team. I have never came across a more friendlier and helpful staff in all my travels. The hotel itself is a bit tired, but the ambience of this warm and cosy place more than makes up for some shortfalls. Will definitely be back this year.

Lovely staff and the breakfasts are tasty. The rooms are tired and need a complete redecorate and refit. Lumpy bed, lumpy pillows and a shower that took 3 minutes to produce any water. Would not recommend this hotel as the rooms are a disappointment.

My last review of the Anchorage gave a One rating, we decided to give it a chance since it’s a short walk from home. What a difference, a good selection of beers and a decent menu. I had a starter that was large enough for us both to enjoy, main courses were both well presented, good quality and decent sized portions. The staff were friendly and attentive, great to have the Anchorage back as a place to enjoy a meal in Troon.

Worst grubbiest hotel I have ever stayed in. Horrible grubby room with dirry bed bases and awful decor. Mould around bath seal and on walls. Ancient furniture. No teaspoons so could not make tea. No hairdryetr and nobody to ask to borrow one at reception. Ate in the bar and did not enjoy it. Poor quality breakfast with cjeap nasty sausages. Just do not stay here! Sent multiple e mails to hotel and was ignored.
