We had a lovely stay last weekend with friends, very welcoming staff, lovely spotless rooms. Enjoyable evening in cosy lounge and excellent plentiful breakfast with delightful staff. Very lucky with beautiful weather and so central only a few minutes walk to beach/seafront where we enjoyed a leisurely walk. The town itself has lots of nice little shops with plenty pubs/bars...

The welcome on arrival was great and my room was ready early, the bed was comfortable but the room was a little tired and dated. Plenty of parking on site. The breakfast completely redeemed the room though, full scottish with haggis and all!

Had a night at South Beach. Overall it came across as average and the staff lacked the air of enthusiasm that would have lifted the quality of our stay. Our room was cold and at breakfast my wife had to suffer a cold draft from behind her. But the real stand out moment came when we asked a waiter to...

The South Beach hotel is our guilty lazy pleasure for a fab dinner. Food is always good and the staff so welcoming. Stuart, Lynne, Jonathan and Vicki do an excellent job and work so hard! Jonathan has worked wonders in the kitchen. Great to see the place busy again.

My friend and I stayed at the South Beach Hotel on Friday for an overnight stay to experience the South Beach Sessions, which featured Mike Hall and his band - performing Eric Clapton music. From the start of our stay, until we left at mid-day on the Saturday, we couldn't have been more welcomed. The staff were so friendly, the...

I found the South Beach to be an enjoyable place to stay in Troon. My room was probably the height of fashion in the nineties rather than this decade but for the price paid it felt like fair value. Location is good - 10/15 minute walk into Troon or any of the golf courses. 10 minutes walk to the train...

Visiting family in Troon, I stayed at South Beach for a number of weeks in December through to January. From arrival to departure, staff were very welcoming and friendly – providing a true personal experience. The sea view room was comfortable and spacious. The bar/lounge was cosy – complete with tartan carpet. Breakfast included a small continental buffet, and full...

A three night Twixmas break with Bibby's Coaches was delightful. The hotel was very comfortable, with very friendly, happy and efficient staff. The food was superb, easily 4* created by John the chef, son of the owners. He must be congratulated. The journey back south through the storm, with road closures due to accidents and floods was interesting, and worrying,...
