I bought a spa with afternoon tea groupon and was so disappointed. I booked a spa time and only on arrival were we informed that there were TODDLER swimming lessons in the pool. This lasted for over an hour. Screeching, crying, singing and just noise in general. Whose idea was it to hold toddler swimming lessons in a spa?! We...

Hotel in the middle of refurbishment but thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay. Room was clean and a good size. Bed was very comfortable.Dinner and breakfast were both excellent and the service and friendliness of the staff could not be faulted. The spa and pool facilities are very good and the hotel provides free WiFi. Will certainly use again in the...

Booked this direct with the hotel after seeing a deal online which they matched, we stayed on a DBB deal, looks like a country inn from the outside, check in was speedy and hassle free, place is like a tardis in side, bar, restaurant, lounge area with flat screen TV, spa and beautiful gardens. We booked a king size garden...

Lovely wee place just 30 minutes from Glasgow. Nice room, nice surroundings, staff very friendly and efficient. Nice chilled feel to the place. Cant comment on the spa as I didn't use it but would have if I had stayed longer

Booked thro' Classic Britain - £34.50 for D+BB and a glass of wine. Could not really fault the place, excellent value for money and the spa facilities are very good, booked a couple of massages for my wife and myself. Would definately do the same deal again if it's on..

I bought this afternoon tea on groupon and probably to get maximum value should have used the spa experience that was included. The sandwich part of the afternoon tea itself was fine but the cake side of it was disappointing. There were plain and fruit scones which I thought would have been made on the premises but I doubt they...

Ended up at this charming old place as I was visiting friends in Lanark and could not get a hotel or B&B as Lanark was fully booked! I booked via bokin.com and got the last room available and sometimes the last room is not the best room. The room was ok, but in need of a refurbishment as it was...

Good to see the Popinjay is now under the control of Nordfields. Maybe now things will be run in a professional manor instead of like an amateur pantomime. Maybe now i will consider revisiting the place and actually enjoying it instead of having staff who dont actually want to be there or who are more concerned with ripping off the...
