We stayed for two nights at a total of £135 and traveled with our 9 month old daughter. We were informed by email that we'd been upgraded from a classic double to a superking room, however, on arrival we were told that we'd been put back into the classic double as they thought we were traveling with two children and... Booked a afternoon tea for my elderly mothers birthday today. The tea was as standard as others we have Plenty of cakes and sandwiches bigger than you would normally get. What can I say the staff were very attentive to the point of nothing was too much trouble. My mum didn't like the sandwiches as too fancy for her .... More

This was my first visit to the Popinjay and went with my daughters who had both been before . The room was lovely with a nice view over the garden , although there could have been more detail paid to the cleaning. I enjoyed sitting in the garden waiting to see the Bride lol . Our evening meal was on... More

What a beautiful hotel complimented by very friendly and helpful staff. Great location - receptionist was lovely & we were even able to check-in over an hour earlier than expected. Restuarant staff were professional at all times, however were very funny & attentive. Compliments to the Chef as our lunch & dinner meals were excellent - big portion sizes and... More

Book this place mainly on the name, good reviews and the fact we'd never been to the Clyde Valley before. It's very well run, friendly with good food served efficiently in a dining room with a sunny and open outlook. We were made to feel welcome at every stage of our stay from reception to the spa area which has... More

This hotel is perfect if you are visiting lanark carluke wishaw or surrounding area and want to explore the Clyde valley. The hotel is modern and welcoming. I have stayed in the hotel twice, once in the honeymoon suite as I got married in this hotel and once in a twin room. The honeymoon suite is luxurious with a bar... More

I found this hotel as a perfect place to stay when working in Glasgow as it is far enough out of the city to be fairly priced and be in Beautiful countryside , a well cooked buffet style breakfast was nicely presented and very tasty. Overall I would have no hesitation in staying here again
