We stayed one night with dinner bed and breakfast included. The welcome at reception was warm and professional. Our room was nice however one complaint would be the hard bed . We had lunch and dinner it was delicious and the food was cooked and presented better than some high end restaurants I have been to in Glasgow. Overall a...

An amazing 2 course meal at a reasonable price. Really well done. The fish dishes were especially lovely, staff were attentive but not in the way and the decor is appropriate. I look forward to coming back.

Stayed here on 19th may. There was a so called mini bar in our room, however we phoned reception twice to say it didn't even have a plug, so therefore didn't work. The food in the restaurant was lovely, but there was a 60th birthday party on the and the children were running around on top of chairs / tables...

After several months working every single day we finally got a chance to take an overnight stay away and what a good choice we made. We were given a nice room overlooking the lawns at the front of the hotel. Room size perfectly adequate, spotlessly clean and shower pressure was fine - this last point of often a problem in...

I had a wonderful lunch for my recent birthday. The hotel, staff, food, rooms were all excellent, couldn't fault anything. The staff and management were so helpful and friendly, nothing was too much for them. We had three double rooms all a good size and spotless with lovely toiletries. The breakfast was excellent. Also the grounds are so well looked...

Stayed here for 1 night with 3 friends. Hotel is beautiful and rooms are spacious and clean. The gardens are also lovely. Food was great, good choice and good portion size. Staff are very professional and friendly. Could not fault in any way. Will be back.

Went for dinner here with my folks and left thinking its the kind of place that you are better ordering the cheap and cheerful pub food options. My starter was goat cheese and roasted beetroot salad. It was exactly as it said on the tin, few slices of cheese, warm beetroot and some pea shoots. Almost every plate we ordered...

Having stopped here over many years when it was a best western hotel, I was a bit wary when I found out it was now under new ownership. I needn't have worried it still has some of the most welcoming staff in Scotland and most definitely the best breakfast. Top marks to all staff

Huge thank you to Shiela and all the staff for making this such a special day. We chose Strathaven Hotel because of the homely warm welcoming feel we got when we walked in and Shiela was absolutely brilliant. Her organisational and people skills are phenomenal. I was totally relaxed on the day as it all ran so smoothly. Everyone had...
