We stayed two days in Culcreuch Castle Hotel and were drawn to the very fact of its 12th century historical significance. This idea, coupled with the immense estate grounds and large pond, the quietness and neat idea of a dungeon restaurant were all part of its overall historical charm. Of course, additions have been made since the 12th century, to...

We stayed for 2 nights in August 2016. The Castle itself was OK. The Hotel staff was a hit or miss. We stayed in the Lodge, which is NOT connected to the Castle Hotel, and is a 5 minute walk through the woods behind the Castle Hotel. We couldn't find any information or photos of the Lodge room on their...

What absolute poppycock! Of course the woodland lodges are not connected to the castle they are in front of the Galbraith Woods on the estate. There are 8 self catering lodges and it is not the "Hotel Lodge" and I cannot believe for one minute they are damp or moldy - why? - because I lived in one for 4...

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. and it was lovely. Greeted warmly at reception I find is always a good omen and we could not fault that.. And once booked in we went off to find our rooms. I loved all the passage ways of the main staircase which led to other little rooms which had doors leading...

We attended for a friend's wedding this week and from the moment we arrived we were impressed. The drive to get to the castle is through some of the most beautiful countryside I have ever seen. We were warmly welcomed and the check in was organised and efficient. Our room - The Napier Suite - room 4 was amazing. Richly...

Can not rate this venue highly enough. Had my sons wedding there this weekend. We stayed Friday to Sunday. The staff are fantastic. Friendly and helpful. Food is amazing. Rooms are all different in the castle. Each one out of this world. Weather let us down. A shame because the grounds are beautiful. Though the happy couple managed to get...

attended a wedding there on Sun 10th Oct and stayed overnight. wedding was slick and food excellent, the only mishap was the music did not seem to work at one point in the cellar bar. The rooms are a little dated but fine. Staff are friendly and welcoming, wedding dinner excellent, breakfast is also very good. The grounds and setting...

We enjoyed a delicious hot lunch at Culcreuch Castle Hotel. The dungeon restaurant has an intimate and cosy feel. I had Balmoral chicken done with the crispy bacon on the outside and tender chicken and haggis in the middle. Chopped into 3 manageable pieces with bashed small potatoes still with there skins on and fresh green beans beautifully presented. Caring...

We stayed here recently and were thrilled! It was exactly what we were looking for! A real castle to stay in! We had the honeymoon suite which was awesome, but there are a lot of stairs to climb to get to the room if you're not as agile as you once were. Very fun stay!

Culcreutch castle is truly a beautiful stately castle located in Fintry, Scotland. It is one of the most continuously active castles left in Scotland. Located on 1600 acres of green hills and valley. The front yard is well landscaped. There is a nice walking path that leads around the pond as well as the castle itself. We hiked up the...
