We visited in April 2017 with friends and our 6 month baby. Our room was perfect with gorgeous views of loch pottie and Matt and a Rachel were total stars in finding us a cot for the baby at the last minute! The house is beautiful and we spent an afternoon enjoying the sun (yes SUN!) in the grounds. It's...

We wanted a place to stay on Mull close to stunning beaches and varied wildlife and we picked Achaban House after seeing their amazing wildlife photos on facebook. The old manse has a lot of charm, and has been revitalised with renovations over the winter months by the owners. Nothing was too much trouble for Matt and Rachel in helping...

Comfortable clean Victorian BnB, very peaceful place, hostess Gillian is a very warm and interesting lady. We loved her. Within walking distance to Iona ferry and Ninth Wave restaurant. Breakfast was lovely too. Highly recommend a visit!

We spent a weekend here in order to get to the Ninth Wave restaurant. Weather fabulous so we got to Staffa, Iona and explored the Ross of Mull. The cottage sleeps four, and it larger than it looks on the photographs. Comfortable and perfect for relaxing after a day out. Lots of hot water! Kitchen well equipped....would have loved to...

We had recently read "Four Ducks on a Pond" which was written by the novelist Annabel Carothers from the perspective of her cat Nicholas. It describes life on the Isle of Mull during one year in the early 1950s. It was a charming book about the family who lived in Achaban House. After a little research on the internet, we...

My initial impression was of quite an austere house—it’s an old manse—but it’s rather comfortable, and charming. Gillian Morley was welcoming, hospitable and accommodating. (We were initially the only guests, and she offered us our choice of room.) We particularly welcomed the fire being set for us in the lounge at the end of a particularly dreich day. Lovely breakfasts...

Just booked another stay at this house. So very glad Gill had space for us, because I wouldn't want to go to Mull and stay anywhere else. House is lovely, breakfast is great.

Stayed one night en route to visit cousin on Iona. Gillian Morley was exremely hospitable and welcoming with the right balance between being helpful and unobtrusive. The location is ideal for the ferry to Iona and also to the facilities at Fionnphort. The house itself is full of history and character with a nice feel to it. I read a...

This is probably a good place to stay if you are a couple without dogs or kids, or perhaps a family with children old enough to be neat and tidy. Owners are VERY house-proud. Not a bad thing on the face of it - our bedroom was absolutely spotless and immaculate, and had everything needed for a short break (apart...
