We were staying in Salen and wanted an evening meal. Alison and Brendon, the owners, were very helpful and fitted us in. We enjoyed our meal so much we returned further three times and always found the staff friendly and the food excellent. We did not stay in the hotel but it appeared clean and welcoming.

We had a meal booked at another hotel but there was a mix up and they recommended we try the glenforsa hotel instead, which I am glad they did as the food was great and the staff were very helpful and accommodating.

We've been here quite a lot over the years. This was a particularly fun two night stay, this time in one of the cabins. Really quiet room, got a couple of great nights rest. Restaurant up to its now come to be expected great standard. Enjoyed the locally caught fish special, then had a few too many single malts! Staff...

From the bar you can see the owners' biplane and watch the sun set on the Sound of Mull. Pop upstairs to the lounge and you can look down on the grass airstrip in front of the hotel. The log-cabin feel adds to its distinctive character, as did the informal welcome. And full marks to them for having the conviction...

We stayed at the Glenforsa Hotel whilst flying around Scotland in our light aircraft. The food was great....Venison Burger a must.... and the staff very hospitable. We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the trip. The airfield adjacent is probably one of my favourite airfields in the UK and should be on every pilots' list of places to go.

We ate in the bar at the Glenforsa two consecutive nights of our stay Mull, as we were staying at a B&B close by. The Glenforsa owners gave us a warm welcome both nights and we enjoyed the well priced and tasty pub grub we were served. To be honest, the food is not going to win any awards but...

Only went to have a pub meal so can't comment on the accommodation. The landlady wasn't particularly friendly. For example, at the bar I pointed out a beer on draft and asked her what it's like. Het response was 'it's an ale.' My meal was not great but my partner did enjoy his steak pie. The placemats were greasy. The...

Brendan and Allison were really helpful with all my fiddling questions but most of all Brendan managed to wrestle my telescopic walking poles back into the folded position for which I was very grateful as we had to fly home later. Delicious food, amazing setting and don't miss the upstairs lounge which it took us a day to find. Even...

A very convenient location if you're arriving late on Mull via Craignure. The room was clean and comfortable, and as an aviation enthusiast I was delighted to find that the owner had just bought a bright yellow vintage Boeing Stearman biplane, my favourite biplane by far, and it was parked almost outside our room :) Good breakfast too.
