This was a nice place to stay. We planned this wrong, though - we spent a day in the Isle of Skye, the night here, then had to drive to Inverness early the next day. The woman who runs it does a fantastic job talking about the Isle of Skye and what there is to do during breakfast - unfortunately...

Despite staying only one night here, we were absolutely enthralled. We had a really nice room and slept like babies. The fact that the weather was terrible helped add to the atmosphere. The breakfast was excellent. Kate is really wonderful and full of positive energy. We shared our breakfast table with another couple and this was exactly what we wanted...

Unfortunately you need a wad of cash, client doesn't accept card payments, ironic as you need a card to make reservations... Only one card machine in local post office, 9-5, it's not outside.... 15 mins walk along narrow, poorly lit pavements to nearest restaurants and bars.... Breakfast is 8.30am prompt, no other option and rooms are not ensuite....

This is a lovely eccentric old style guest house. Our room was adequate although we had a shared bathroom which we personally did not mind. Everything was clean and although a little dated fitted in with the character of the old house. At breakfast our host Kate was great and the food was fantastic with home made bread and potato...

Not the most modern facilities but a wonderful place with so much attention to ensuring guests have everything they need. Amazing homemade jams and marmalades every day at breakfast, many including whisky or port in the ingredients.Home-baked rolls. Excellent porridge. Splendid full breakfasts cooked healthily on the Aga. Kate was wonderful! Friendly, kind, well-informed about what to visit on Skye.

Our room was comfortable. The shared bathroom was not a problem. Breakfast was delicious and Kate was a hoot! She has made all the decor- paintings, quits, knit pillows, and embroidery. She also bakes bread, creates hearing cards, makes jam, and is taking up wood-turning. Her sense of humor and friendliness encourage guests to enjoy their stay. Great fun!

The room we stayed in had no closet for keeping clothes. The bed sheets smelled like wet dog. Also, the breakfasts got mixed up but she tried to fix them if you said anything. She warned beforehand that she was not quite awake that morning. There wasn't much on the breakfast bar and it was a very awkward breakfast because...

A very quaint B&B with one of the best hosts I've met! The rooms are a little old fashioned and the shared facilities are not going to be to everyone's tastes but anything lacking here is more than made up for by a wonderful host and breakfast!
