Went "Hosteling" throughout Scotland last week 5 people for a family trip who came to visit me after two years living in Perth. I've read other reviews and have to say that there's no justice in them according to our experience. After having been sleeping for some days in hostels we all agreed that this one was by far the...

A visit yesterday brought mixed reviews. We booked an en-suite room and were very disappointed with the condition of the room but with no hesitation the management offered us a room in the adjoining b & b which was much better. The new management were also the chef and he produced some very good pub food. Fish was fresh. Burger...

Stayed in the hostel side of Saucy Mary's with my eldest son & step son (big lads) the three of us sharing a room. Good value for money with basic shared facilities. Clean, warm & more than adequate. Breakfast was good as was the evening meal we had in the bar. The menu was limited, but that was expected as...

Had an amazing time after staying for a week the rooms were perfect in size and breakfast was amazing however the male manager had a nasty atitude and was very rude and obnoxious (lack of interest or lack of knowledge of how to socialise maybe) but in contrast the lady was lovely nothing was too much for her and even...

The lovely people running the accommodation were, friendly, helpful and nothing was a problem when asked. The rooms were comfortable and kept clean and tidy, The weather was freezing, but the heater in the room worked just fine to keep you warm and cosy. There was coffee available all day. The food was lovely and fresh. The location was beautiful....

This property is set in an absolutely stunning location, and that is definitely the best thing going for it. The rooms felt tired and run down. The bed was ok. WIFI was very poor, although the staff made us aware of this when we arrived and gave us alternative places to connect if we needed to. Restaurant attached sold good...

Stayed next door in the B and B Glenarroch £79 a night. Room of a good size but super basic. Rate was very high for a room of this standard. I was freezing over night, radiators were turned up but obviously set low at the thermostat. Although B and B was not full, it was very noisy. My door clattered...

Decent nights stay here. Bed was comfy and had everything we needed in the room. I would say though don't come here expecting pure luxury. It's one of few places near the bridge which explains the price being higher (they need to make money and it can't be easy) and is budget accommodation. Please note also that this is a...

AMAZING view from the front of the lodge. The dorm rooms were huge! They had a sink in each room, which was a bit random. The bathrooms were not hard to find, and were regularly cleaned. The night I was there a drunk dude wandered in to the lodge - I guess he was also staying there as he had...

Top marks!!!!.... thats talking about the view... The rest, not so much. Paying £59 a night you would expect more from this hostel! What we got was a shabby room with a old bed that if you lay just right.. you wouldnt get stabbed by a spring. Also the bedding has tears in it. Black long hairs in the bed.....
