Absolutely spot on hotel for our trip to Skye. Great welcome, pleasant and helpful staff. The room was huge and very comfortable. Big roaring fire in the lounge welcomed us as we returned from our exertions around the Isle of Skye, The food in the restaurant was well prepared and tasty.

I had been looking forward to this trip at least 6 months beforehand and the Isle of Skye did not disappoint. The staff were welcoming and attentive and the service was excellent. I was participating in a photography workshop and when on these trips especially in the winter you have to be prepared. After a long day outside there is... More

We look loved this hotel - it was our favorite on this trip. Marian (sp?) at the front desk was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. The views were unbelievable and the room was perfect. The food was excellent. We could have stayed for days if time allowed.

I wish I had read the review headed, “Over priced and not transparent” dated 28 September 2016 before booking. https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowUserReviews-g551883-d218172-r423223282-Cuillin_Hills_Hotel-Portree_Isle_of_Skye_The_Hebrides_Scotland.html#CHECK_RATES_CONT The first impression of the Premier Room was excellent; a traditional large bay windowed room with spectacular view, corniced ceiling, writing area and coffee/tea making facilities. Unfortunately this first impression evaporated on opening the door to the ensuite bathroom that... More

Probably out of my usual price bracket but off season. This was a 5 star quality room with a stunning view of the mountains and harbour. Staff were very friendly including serving dinner/breakfast. Memorable.

Very classy hotel, from the parlor and its' working fireplace and tea, to the room to the breakfast (best one during our 2 wks. in Scotland). Bed was extremely comfortable, room sizeable. Staff were quite accommodating, view of the harbor was breathtaking. Walk into town is 10 minutes, a little dark but otherwise easy. Portree has plenty to enjoy as... More

We paid a significant amount for one of the best rooms here and whilst the view was lovely, much of the rest of our stay was a little disappointing. Upon arrival, at around 5.30pm, it was dark and raining and rather unclear where the hotel reception even was - made worse by the fact that it was unmanned firstly when... More

We picked this hotel because of its views and in-house restaurant - both proved their worth. The hotel is about a 10 min walk out of town, and has views of the port and surrounding hills - very seductive in the late afternoon. We even had sun and sat at tables on the front lawn for a sundowner drink. if... More

A tucked away hotel with lovely views towards Portree. We ate in the restaurant on the second night and had a gorgeous meal (the venison was beautifully cooked.) Great choice of whiskies in the bar which you can enjoy in front of the fire. Really good value for money. Friendly and helpful staff.
