What a superb hotel. Wonderful location. Our room was excellent, comfortable, spacious, clean and huge bathroom/ bath. Complementary Gin/ Whisky nice touch. All the staff we met were friendly. Helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Special mention to Julia who gave up her own time to help us ( you were right, ankle was broken!!😕) Also need to mention Ben, the Head chef & team, his food was amazing, FAB dinner and breakfast!! Would certainly recommend and we will definitely be back!!-Thank you all!🙂

Really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Eilean Lamain. The hotel is welcoming and the staff friendly and helpful. The hotel location is idealic. Quiet and serene, with small harbour and lochside walks seconds from the doorstep. Add a distillery to the hotels welcome and what more can you want!

We are six Canadian rugby mates who went on a three-week whisky tour of Scotland. We stayed in nine great accommodations along the way and Hotel Eilean Iarmain was the best. All of us hope to bring our spouses back to this hotel in Sleat. The location is beautiful, the rooms are excellent, the morning breakfasts are good and are provided by a fun staff, and the on-site pub with its collection of quirky characters made our visit to Skye spectacular. One more bonus for us - they make their own whisky at a location they keep secret! Al the travel experts say stay in Portree when you visit the Isle of Skye. They are wrong. Sleat has more character and unique experiences than anywhere we stayed on our tour. Highly recommend you give Eilean Iarmain an opportunity to make your day. They certainly made our trip better with all they have to offer.

The view was amazing, the hotel unbelievable but the food blew me away! The chef Chris was the kindest most inspiring foodie I’ve ever met. Come and be blown away….. I had to do 200 minimum characters are we there yet?

From start to finish we had an incredible stay at the Hotel. We had dinner in the bar during the evening - mussels, scallops and langoustines! Drinks were excellent. Room extremely comfortable and great value! Breakfast was brilliant and couldn't fault the weather also! Hope to return again out of season!

Found this hotel in the good pub guide and we weren't disappointed, only went for a meal. At this time and time of year you cannot book ahead but there were only 16 of us eating (bedrooms closed at the moment due to the pandemic) There is a main menu with all the usual things and a special's which was totally shellfish, mussels, scallops and langoustines, you could mix and match or have all three as some at the table next to us did. Yes the shellfish are not cheap but absolutely wonderful. Hotel is in a great setting and I would guess gets packed out in high season, highly recommended.

The Hotel Eilean Iarmain is perfect for a peaceful getaway at the southern end of Skye. The accommodation had genuine historical character, and was warm, and comfortable. The large deep bath with plenty of hot water was excellent. The food was very enjoyable and it was good to see local seafood dishes available (the langoustines were very tasty) as well as a great choice of cooked breakfast dishes. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. A particularly nice feature was the public bar with open fire, which had a most convivial atmosphere, being frequented by locals as well as visitors. It was a very nice touch to have bottles of locally produced whisky for sale. Thank you too for the complementary minature of Ty Beag whisky.

The check in was extremely smooth. You were given a miniature of their own whisky at check in which was a very nice touch. The rooms were well maintained. The service, in the hotel, bar and dining rooms was efficient and friendly. The food was very tasty and well presented (and very good sized portions}. It was maybe slightly dearer than you would expect for bar food, but the quality/quantity made up for that, There were open fires in both the bar and the residents' lounge which made them very appealing and comfortable. The bar had a good selection of beers (including Skye Gold on tap) as well as a large number of spirits, including their own whiskies and gins. The only strange thing was there were no televisions in the hotel (either the bedrooms or the residents' lounge), whilst watching television while on holiday is not high on the list of priorities in a place like Skye the weather forecast can be important. However the wifi coverage was very good throughout the hotel/bar and therefore it was easy to keep up to date with potential weather changes. All in all a very good place to stay.
