What a gem of a place. We had a lovely welcome, and our room was excellent - crisp white bed linen, great shower room etc. Everything was really clean, and well looked-after. Great choice for breakfast, and our hosts were so helpful. We only stayed one night, but hope to go back again soon.

We booked for one night, but stayed for two. The host are just that kind, welcoming, accommodating, and friendly. The guest rooms are a modern country living style - soft wood furniture, updated bathroom, white linens, towel warmer, - but the house is very true to it's roots as a hunting lodge. Each day there were fresh baked goods waiting...

There's really nothing that can't be praised about this place. The couple running it is the most loving and wonderful set of two humans in the world. We came for one night and stayed for two. Excellent whisk(e)y collection. Breakfast was fantastic.

From the location in the village, to the breakfast in the morning, to the view from the bedroom window everything was excellent. Well looked after from checking in to checking out. I'll be back as soon as I can.

We stayed here for one night and our room was lovely. The bathroom was modern and spotless and the bedroom had everything we could have wanted - including a four poster bed! The breakfast was delicious and all homemade or locally sourced. We cannot praise the owners higher, they were delightful. They even swiftly changed my pillows for me since...

This is a home from home whether you are passing through or exploring the area. The hosts are very welcoming, informative and go the extra mile but are not intrusive. This is the place to experience and learn about malt whiskies.

I will start by saying that we will definitely return in the near future. We had some difficulties getting there due to the bad weather but Katy (the hostess) was great at keeping us up do date with the road conditions over the phone on the day of arrival!!! Upon arrival, we had a very warm and friendly welcome by...

My daughters and I stayed here for 3 nights at the end of October. Katy and Julian were delightful - on hand with excellent advice, but not intrusive. They gave us tips on where to walk, and what to see locally, and also in Edinburgh as we went there after Braemar. The family room was lovely - with apparently the...

Travelling to Linn of Dee for hillwalking the forecast was poor so I decided to B&B. Was actually double booked elsewhere and offered Callater Lodge as a (cheaper) alternative. It was excellent all round: Warm and friendly welcome from the hostess; Very good location in Braemar; Comfortable, spacious and beautifully furnished; Excellent breakfast with great service. Other observations -The single...

We stayed here while exploring the Cairn Gorms. I summarise our experience with but one word - perfection. Hosts divine, rooms lovely, breakfast spot on, variety of facilities, great selection of Whisky, and 2 gorgeous dogs which we requested to see again and again (these are not standard additions). Will be staying there again the next time we go North....
