Sharon is doing the cooking herself and John is around for anything needed. Both have wonderful stories and recommendations to tell. And the whole place has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. We loved it there - though we were there only for one night. P.S.: We loved the music in the bar downstairs (even ordered the CD they played... More

We had a week in Carradale in April. It was a great base from which to explore! The owners of the Ashbank were very welcoming - the rooms were more than adequate - beautiful bedding and very comfy beds! I slept better that week than I had in months! The children and dogs were made to feel very at home.... More

I spent three nights at this lovely hotel/b&b with my dog. Sharon and John are lovely people who can't do enough for you. They made both me and my dog very welcome offering great options for local walks as well as advising on what to do farther afield. The hotel is spotless with lovely big fluffy towels and pristine bedding.... More

What a little hidden gem this hotel is. I've stayed in Argyll hotel due to proximity to Westport beach but was full so opted for 40min drive to Carradale and was not disappointed. The staff are lovely as is the food, really good value for money. Carradale itself is stunning and the staff will point out good walks in the... More

Our party - 2 mature couples. A big thank you to John & Sharon for the warm friendly welcome. Our rooms were good and very comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was great and plenty of it and was very reasonably priced. A lovely friendly, cosy atmosphere. Would recommend a visit.

My husband, myself, brother and sister in law stayed here for one night last Friday. Food is wonderful. Good menu selection. Hosts, Sharon and John just cannot do enough for you. Very friendly and great local knowledge. It is ideally situated to do sightseeing in surrounding towns. I would certainly recommend a stay here.

The road to this area is a single lane made-up road with passing areas as you drive there. It is a beautiful part of the Mull and the people are some of the most friendliest I have ever met on my travels. The hotel is run by Susan and John who are extremely friendly and go out of their way... More

I and 4 lady friends stayed here for 2 nights while walking the Kintyre Way. Sharon and John are lovely and were exceedingly helpful with our arrangements and requests, and made us feel very welcome. They serve very good, substantial evening meals and breakfasts which we much appreciated. An excellent stop over on our walk which I would definitely visit... More
