We stayed for 6 nights and enjoyed our stay tremendously. We had a lovely cosy room - as we had been very late in booking the loch-side rooms were taken. The drawing room is lovely so we enjoyed tea there with the lovely garden and loch views. We had our three labardors along and enjoyed many extensive long walks with...

We had a terrific weekend at this hotel. We were offered the tasting menu. We thought being vegetarian might be a problem but they designed an individual menu for us. A great place with friendly, helpful staff.

Lovely room. Amazing view. Super service. Great food. Everyone made us (and our dog) very welcome. We will definitely return (for 2 nights next time - it's a long drive for only one night and we will definitely borrow a boat and shoot some clays next time too).

We stayed in a Master Garden View King room which has a limited view of the garden. Decent bathroom facilities. The main drawing room of the hotel is large and very fine, and the bar is located in a cosy book-lined room. Outside, the grounds are extensive and run down to Loch Awe, on which, on a fine day, visitors...

This hotel is just fabulous. The staff are so friendly It feels like you are staying with long lost relatives in a country house. The grounds are stunning and the views are perfect. The hotel itself has a Grand shabby chic feel to it. The public areas are grand but the furniture is comfortable and you feel like you can...

Love the location .. expected top quality dining ..but breakfast offering was, at best, "pretty much just the usual". We stayed for 4 nights and dinner offering boringly didn't change .. having said that .. we caught some trout on the loch and the chef made us some very tasty dishes .. so the skills are there ,..

After seven miles of one lane highway with passing zones and three miles of one lane sans passing zones, arrived at this old Scottish country house on the shores of beautiful Loch Awe. That was the high point of the visit. We were in the Boat House right on the water, and it was obvious it hadn't been occupied in...

After a long 10km drive off the main A road - albeit a beautiful drive - to be greeted by the grey back of the house I was doubting my booking . Those doubts were dispelled inside . Warm , beautifully and characterful decoration ( the owner is an antique dealer ) with attentive and charming service . Stunning views...

Stayed at the Boatshed at Ardanaiseig Hotel and it was such a waste of money. It is extremely expensive and the price tag was nowhere near justified. Positives - the setting is really beautiful next to the Loch. It is a really 'scottish' setting. You can go on walks in the surrounding woodland and grounds. Negatives - the main house...

The long drive over stunning landscape raised our expectations, but these were quickly dashed on arrival at the imposing 19thC stone house, where we were greeted by a whiff of stale cooking, and a view of Iron Brew and papers strewn across the reception / office desk. Due to a last minute cancellation we were offered an alternative room in...
