Disappointed with Collaig House, had to cancel a booking due to a family member falling ill and therefore unable to go away. Had to pay £119 cancellation which is explained in original email, given the option to change the date but only in a window of 4 weeks which is not possible due to living on the Isle of Wight. No other option provided, sadly this was a 70th birthday present for my grandmother.

Dear Ashleigh, Many thanks for your feedback, unfortunately as you cancelled with only 5days notice at the busiest time of year I did invoke the cancellation policy and offered accomadation as soon as available which was September until the end of October when I close for the year. I never thought you may be interested in 2018 however if you wish to rebook for next year I would waive the cancellation charge from the tariff, please contact me so we can arrange,I would be delighted to welcome you to Collaig. Kind Regards Julie

Where do we begin when reviewing Collaig house? The hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming, the rooms (we rented both) were spotlessly clean comfortable and tastefully decorated. The breakfast does stand out for special mention though. The bacon and sausages were home produced and there was lovely fruit salad. Even the coffee was outstanding! Quite wonderful locally produced smoked salmon and scrambled eggs were provided as an alternative to the traditional Scottish breakfast. There was also home made shortbread in the rooms. Collaig house is certainly remote and enjoys stunning views down Loch Awe as a result. There is plenty to do and see within a short drive. This was a memorable and wonderful stay. We hope to stay here again soon!

We are just home from a delightful break at collaig house. What can we say reprat what everyone else has sad. Julie and Jamie are lovely hosts. Our room (large double) was very comfortable- gorgeous bedding, white company towels and robe and local toiletries- beautiful. Julies breakfast is really good, bacon from their own pigs and eggs from their chickens, which you can see from your window! All in all a very relaxing stay- you will sleep soundly. Cant wait to return. Julie and Hugh xxxx

This place is amazing. I am staying here for a few days due to work in the area. Was immediately made to feel welcome and almost part of the family by the hosts Julie&Jamie. The accommodation is first class. I stayed in the B&B but there is also a luxury lodge available which looks amazing. The breakfast was locally sourced and I have to say one of the best breakfast I have ever had. The views of the mountains and Loch Awe are simply stunning. Set in a truly breath taking setting I will never forget my stay. I made the most of my down time and went for nice walks along the loch shore and surrounding forests. If I can get back with work I certainly will. Even if I don't I will absolutely be back with family and friends. Thank you for an awesome stay guys. If you are reading this and thinking hmmm should I? I will simply say this "you are only wasting time looking elsewhere" Will - Glasgow
