Was given a 2 night stay in this hotel as a Christmas gift from our daughter, it’s situated in a lovely location and the views are stunning. We found the rooms warm and comfortable, the food and drinks of a good standard and the staff friendly and welcoming. It was super dog friendly and our dog was treated like a king with treats and a water bowl laid out in our room and at our dinner table for him. Thank you for a lovely winter stay

I stayed in a room this time as I normally opt for the cabins. It was very clean, comfortable and well maintained. The housekeeping team clearly do an excellent job and are always an unacknowledged force. The hotel was having staffing issues but those on duty stepped up to the plate and went above and beyond. They work long hours and are so busy, but do a fantastic job. They cover the bar, reception and dining room and are without doubt the hotel's best asset. The bar itself was its usual vibrant self and the atmosphere cordial and welcoming. Looking forward to returning next February already.

I am over the moon to hear that the useless, arrogant, lazy individual manager has been sacked. Hopefully, now, the place can go back to the beautiful place it was. As a manager he went through staff like a whirlwind. He also insisted on having lock ins because he could drink for free! If I was the owner I would be very tempted to try and get money for his drinks.

A great find! The hotel is clean and has amazing views from the Bothy Bar, veranda and some of the bedrooms. The staff are all courteous, however a few need a special mention as they give just that little bit more so special thanks to Kimberley on reception, the breakfast cook(sorry I didn’t get your name) and especially Hannah who is a bubbly young lady. The breakfast was plentiful with an option for vegetarians. The evening meals were also good and well priced. Dogs are allowed in the hotel and the bar, leaving the restaurant free for a dog free zone. The venue would be ideal for a wedding as the views overlooking the Loch are beautiful. They also offer budget accommodation for walkers/hikers or people that prefer to stay in cabins, with toilets and showers within easy reach. All in all a great place which we would love to re-visit if in the area. Thank you team for looking after us!@

Where to start! This hotel is filthy and the staff are unfriendly and rude. We told the staff, when booking, that we would arrive after 9pm. One of the members of staff ‘greeted’ us with a sneer and a nasty comment about how he had been trying to call us to find out when we were arriving. We were not made welcome by any of the staff during our 3 night stay. We paid for breakfast but after the first morning we decided to go elsewhere as it was so bad. The cutlery and Crockery were dirty, the chef came into the dining room and his white shirt was full of stains , we were given cold food. There was a live band on until 1:45am on the Saturday night / Sunday morning which kept us awake. Our room wasn’t cleaned at all during our stay, our bin wasn’t emptied and we weren’t given clean towels. I asked to borrow an iron, I’m still waiting for it! The foyer at the entrance was filthy and wasn’t swept or hoovered during our stay. However, we did see a young boy of around 10 cleaning the downstairs ladies. The paint and wallpaper was peeling off the walls and the carpets were threadbare. The toilet seat in our bathroom was stained with urine. We could not wait to leave! I DO NIT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL

Shown to a room with an overwhelming smell of damp, no curtains and a window frame that was visibly rotten. Warm welcome from staff but no way guests should be offered that room. Refund agreed but since not forthcoming. Stay elsewhere!

Really comfortable room, clean and modern, but the place was let down by supply issues - everything seemed to have run out and several people were turned away at dinner and breakfast which is a shame in a remote location. It seemed a bit chaotic but the staff were trying their best.

Pod was cold. Mattress was the worse I've ever slept on. I hired a sleeping bag - it was awful, not fit in for purpose. It was July. I hope you don't use the same ones in other seasons. Pod needed a good sweep or hoover. One little milk pot for two people for an overnight stay. Blinds broken and also when closed didn't stop light from other pods automatic light from seeping through into cabin. Toilets were disgusting, no toilet roll and not enough of them. Campers kitchen was an disgrace. Absolutely filthy. View from bar great. But apart from that awful place.
