Absolutely perfect from start to finish. We got married overlooking the Loch and it could not have been more beautiful. The attention to detail was second to none. Helen is extremely creative and this was evident with our little cones of popcorn and chocolate strawberries along with the fizz. Wedding breakfast with owner Mark as master of ceremonies went without...

A hotel with a great view of the loch from the bar. Hotel room a little tired looking but lovely and warm with a great shower, plenty of hot water. Large room plenty of storage if you were staying longer than overnight, which is all we were doing. The mattress on the bed was lumpy though, so I didn't sleep...

36 hours before my parents were supposed to stay at this hotel I cancelled their stay due to two deaths in our family. They reduced the fee from £180 to £90 so I phoned and asked them to wave the full fee as we now had to cover the costs of two funerals the woman (with absolutely no empathy or...

Stayed here as part of our WHW walk. Firstly the staff and owners seem really nice and bar staff go beyond what you would expect as normal service. For us what let the place down was the actual hotel room (can't comment on the cabins - they maybe much better) The room itself appeared clean to be fair but from...

Booked this as we were going to walk up Ben Nevis, booking .com(where we booked) said it was less than 10 miles from the Mountain, it turned out to be over 20 and a 40 minute drive, this was something I wasnt expecting after a grueling hike, anyhow, onto the actual hotel, its really aimed at hikers and climbers, facilities...

Well what more can you say about this lovely place.. It has the best view and best whiskies in the area. To sit on the terrace and look across the loch is truly idyllic. Great service from Helen, Mark Steve and Stuart, sorry for those behind the scenes who all made our short stay lovely For those that are doing...

I camped here for two nights in the middle of September 2016. I have only good things to say about the site, facilities and people. Checking in for camping was efficient and very friendly. Camping: They limit the size of tents allowed, which makes the site work very well. The pitches sit in front of the small cabins that are...

Stayed here on the last stop of the West Highland Way and it was by far my favourite. Stayed in a cabin together with a friend, so we had ample of space. There's a quite little "front porch" area to sit outside, which unfortunately we couldn't do because of the midges. The views are excellent however. The shower/toilet area isn't...

My favourite stop-over on the West Highland Way in 2013 and 3 years later still coming out top. MacDonald Hotel and Cabins has it all: beautiful location, fantastic staff, sensible prices, good food - and a strategy to keep midges at bay that borders on the miraculous! We staid in the clean, comfortable and quiet camping huts and enjoyed both...

The MacDonald Hotel and Cabins in Kinlochleven is at the head of Loch Leven with breathtaking views. Ideally situated for those walking the West Highland Way, along with other walks in the area. Mark and I took the hotel over on 17th January 2014 and appreciate all of the reviews on Tripadvisor, but look forward to receiving our own.
