I camped here for two nights in the middle of September 2016. I have only good things to say about the site, facilities and people. Checking in for camping was efficient and very friendly. Camping: They limit the size of tents allowed, which makes the site work very well. The pitches sit in front of the small cabins that are...

Stayed here on the last stop of the West Highland Way and it was by far my favourite. Stayed in a cabin together with a friend, so we had ample of space. There's a quite little "front porch" area to sit outside, which unfortunately we couldn't do because of the midges. The views are excellent however. The shower/toilet area isn't...

My favourite stop-over on the West Highland Way in 2013 and 3 years later still coming out top. MacDonald Hotel and Cabins has it all: beautiful location, fantastic staff, sensible prices, good food - and a strategy to keep midges at bay that borders on the miraculous! We staid in the clean, comfortable and quiet camping huts and enjoyed both...

Booked a family room as a stop over during our trip home from Skye. As this was priced very reasonable I was pleasantly surprised by the location (amazing), rooms (perfectly comfortable and clean...although could do with a little TLC), and breakfast (despite the very watery porridge). Another positive is the bar/restaurant which was very busy but a great place. The...

Let me start by saying the view is fabulous. The location is great for hikers, campers, and most outdoor activities for the terrain. The facilities were quaint and what was expected by the name, this is not a Hilton and they don't pretend to be. The food was about the same as most places we visited there, poor. But, you don't...

A welcome night in comfort in a welcoming and friendly hotel. Food is excellent, we enjoyed an evening meal and an excellent breakfast which is cooked to order. This hotel is located on the West Highland Way and is highly recommended.

I stayed at the MacDonald hotel for 4 nights. It was my first trip to the Highlands and I was blown away. What a stunning location. The hotel bar has a big deck overlooking the lake and it's such a relaxing place to hang out at the end of a long day walking. Such amazing views of the landscape. I...

Stayed in log cabin. £20 was a bargain, late check-in wasn't a problem. Breakfast was good. Its located on the West Highland Way. Helen the owner gave the best customer service I have seen in years, makes such a difference when the owners are directly involved. Thanks for a lovely stay!

This was my second visit to the Macdonald Hotel in the last two years and was amazed to see all the improvements the new owners have achieved. The new decking, front facing to the loch...we sat outside as the sun set and I honestly can't even find he words to describe how stunning this was, whilst enjoying a fine whisky...
