This hotel is well located, near the loch, but really needs some tlc. The linen was clean and the beds comfortable. Other than that there was not much to commend it. The proximity to the road makes for regular speeding car noise... And they fairly whip past. The rooms need redecorating. Didn't eat the breakfast.

although the outside gives the impression of a run down hotel, inside is a warm freindly hotel with a welcoming atmosphere . the rooms were spacious and well presented. also very comfortable . the food was very good and the breakfast was plenty with a good selection. The hotel is currently undergoing upgrading. The accommodation was adequate. We had dinner in the hotel and this was a disappointment. We ordered steak pie, lasagne, fish pie and fresh fish and chips. None of the meals were very good, the steak pie had mushrooms which it shouldn't and the vegetables all tasted burnt. The veg issue was repeated with...

Stayed here in May for one night hotel is in desperate need for a refurb which I believe the owner is getting round to. Looks like the owner is running the place on his own as this is the only person we saw. Owner is a friendly easy going guy but possibly taking too much on. Food was quite bland...

Lochgair Hotel is located in a pretty area of Scotland. The hotel is a restored historical building with large windows in the guest rooms. Our stay was comfortable but the wifi didn't function well. The breakfast was prepared to order and good. This was a good choice for a one night stop on a tour of Scotland. Restaurant options beside...

This is a good stop as you're passing through, but we struck a few problems. The owner seemed to be there on his own so he did the check-in, ran the bar, and did the dinner service. Meals had to be ordered by 7.30, and the food was okay. I had booked a double room on-line, but we were given...

A great location for exploring this fascinating area of Scotland. It's a picturesque older building which the owner is trying to restore to its former glory. In the meantime, they prepare terrific breakfasts and very good dinners. Guests are definitely made to feel welcome.

Stayed here overnight on 21 August, in the bunk-bedded room. Very comfy and the breakfast was excellent. The owner seemed to be running the place on his own, but he was doing a great job and was very friendly and helpful. Yes the place needs updating but I would still recommend it as an excellent place for an overnight stop.
