Stayed here one night for work. Immaculate room and public spaces. Ele greeted us warmly, taking time to chat and find out how we were. The room was spacious, with all you need for a short stay. Even a corkscrew and alarm clock. The hosts have really ensured all guests needs are considered. Not a speck of dust anywhere. Very...

A nice overnight stay, was enjoyed by my wife, kids & myself in one of the Empire family rooms. A clean, spacious room, with everything needed at a cost effective price. We received a warm welcome on arrival & enjoyed a lovely morning Scottish breakfast, before our departure. Would recommend to any visitor, to the beautiful Town of Lochgilphead, Argyll.......

This is definitely a budget hotel, the rooms are plain and the furniture and beds very basic. However, everything is clean, the environment is quiet and the owners are exceptionally hospitable. Ele is a friendly, helpful person who makes you feel welcome immediately. Breakfast is excellent.

We arrived looking like drowned rats having cycled through the rain all day! However Ele quickly cheered us up by taking away all our wet clothes and delivered them clean and dry in the morning! Great breakfast with fresh produce and delicious porridge! A super place to stop!

Thanks again for another very pleasant stay at the empire lodge. The room was spotless and comfortable, and breakfast ample and tasty. The offer to chuck my slightly manky cycling gear in the wash was really kind. Coffee, toast and porridge were lovely and there were scrambled eggs to follow for extra energy. Lovely, too to have a bath in...

Stayed here while working in Lochgilphead, more like a hotel than B&B. Good large ensuite rooms, free DVD library, great breakfast and lovely owners. Will be using again and passing on to friends and colleagues. Well done and thanks for making our stay great!

The hotel is close to the town centre, the rooms are comfortable and clean, the breakfast is hearty but the icing on the cake is the laundry service offered to cyclists short on clean kit. A wonderful place to base yourself for a hub and spoke trip or as a stopover. Well done the host and hostess, I can highly...

We love this converted cinema, the hosts are so helpful, we always stay here on our way to Islay. Ideal for families traveling together as all the rooms are on one corridor. This is really a b&b hotel, they don't do evening meals. Breakfast is fresh and hearty. Off street parking. Tea and coffee in the room. Very quiet location...

We, 7 of us, stayed at the Empire for one night while on a cycling tour of Scotland. Ele was very welcoming and helpful, she was very accommodating with last minute changes to our booking and once we arrived she offered to do all of our washing, which she had all ready for us early the next morning. She and...

Stayed one night only with some cyclist friends. Jim and Ella very welcoming, could not have done more to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We even had some laundry done overnight which was very helpful during our week long trip. Lovely breakfast to get us going next morning.
