We only stayed one night but would happily stay here again and for longer next time. We were given a warm welcome and shown the layout. The room was spotless, well equipped with those little personal touches and very comfortable. The breakfast was superb and definitely set us up for the day. Jim and Ellie are excellent hosts and we...

Comfortable bed. Spacious and spotlessly clean room. Great breakfast. Home cooked food is served in the Bistro in the evenings. Jim and Ellie were very welcoming hosts. Definitely a place to return to if in the area again.

We stayed at the Empire Travel Lodge on one of our last nights during a two week trip to Scotland and could not have been happier. We found it to be the perfect base to explore the ancient monuments located in Kilmartin. The owners were extremely friendly and welcoming. The room layout is similar to an upscale motel and you...

Stayed last night while travelling through on business. Don't be fooled into staying in any of the other establishments, this is a little gem just off the main street in Lochgilphead. Owners greet you personally on arrival, and call you by your first name, I loved that, felt like going to a relatives home! Then there's the food.....the mac n...

Our room and bathroom were really clean and everything well thought out. The whole place has the air of being regularly painted and cared for. We got the impression that the owners are very committed to making the place run well - they are really nice people and seem interested in their guests. The food was really good, all parts...

Nice touch with a selections of DVD's and books available. Two minor points - bed a little lumpy, perhaps time for a mattress change and shower not very...

We are from Australia and this was the only accommodation that we found in Scotland that was akin to what we would call a Motel. The rooms were very comfortable and private and all the little extras (eg wine glasses in the room) were taken care of. We dinner here on the night we stayed and I have to say...

We only stayed one night but Jim & Ellie made us feel completely at home. We had an evening meal on the Thursday night and it was simply delicious. We did however find the bed a little on the hard side but we both had a good nights sleep so I guess it couldn't have been that bad. Room was...
