Your review is much appreciated - thank you. Being positioned on the shores of Loch Sunart we can enjoy the most amazing sunsets and it's one of our favourite aspects of living here too (we never get tired of the view!). We're glad to hear you found the B&B well poisoned for exploring the area.

We stayed at Otterburn for several nights on our first visit to the area around Ardnamurchan. We came to spot seals and otters, go on long walks and paddle in the sea loch. Laura took exceptional care of us. Our room (Otter) was spacious, tidy, spotless (exactly as in the website photos) and had the most amazing view to the loch. We would love to wake up to that every day! The food was delicious and plentiful (we also dined out a few times). Laura had many helpful suggestions for day trips, and showed us photos, maps, walking books and more. We also went on a bespoke sea kayak adventure with Otter Adventures (run by Laura’s husband Karl, out of Otterburn). I won’t dwell on COVID precautions, other than to say it was all very well organised and safe but entirely unobtrusive. We only wish we could have stayed longer, and will definitely be back.

We certainly agree with you that waking up to a loch and mountain view is the very best way to start the day! Thank you for your kind praise. I'm so glad you managed to get out sea kayaking at last and were rewarded with some wildlife viewings - including a possible 5% otter sighting :) We really would love to see you both again some day soon as it was a pleasure to have you both stay.

Usually we self- cater but couldn't find anything reasonably priced left in Ardnamurchan when looking. Hence we booked into Laura's B&B for a week and what a great decision. The place was refurbished to a high standard but maintained a homely feel. It had a fantastic location looking out onto the loch, was within walking distance of local amenities and well positioned for our excursions. Laura helped us with booking evening meals out and, as we were there for several nights, she cooked a tasty dinner for us one evening.... not to mention her home baked cakes which greeted our arrival on each day. The breakfasts had a good array of buffet items including a full cooked breakfast and a daily special. Laura remembered in detail all our likes/dislikes and requests - she paid special attention to my dietary requirements which made a huge difference. Laura was really helpful with local knowledge to plan some of our days out too.

Thank you so much for taking time to review us and let other guests know what they can expect when they stay at Otterburn. That's great to hear you felt at home and enjoyed our culinary provision; we're always happy to cater for special dietary requirements. It was also most enjoyable to catch up on news from Shropshire and talk about familiar places and even mutual friends there - thank you for the happy memories!

The second time we have visited, Laura is a very helpful and attentive owner, place is spotlessly clean, right on Loch Sunart. Breakfast very good, and her husband runs Otter Adventures from the same address. Highly recommend

Many thanks indeed for taking time to review your stay. It's always a great pleasure to welcome returning guests to Otterburn B&B and catch up with old friends. During the pandemic, cleanliness has continuously been our priority so we're glad to hear you felt comfortable and found the accommodation very clean. Yes, guests can take guided kayak or canoe trips from the very doorstep on Loch Sunart which is an added bonus to a stay with us :)

First time in this area and what a great find Otterburn b and b was. Laura and Karl the owners are very welcoming and have absolutely everything set up covid secure. The location is stunning with views from the bedroom down the loch, with ever changing landscapes. The room has the most comfortable bed and bedding and a wonderful shower. We were met with tea and homemade cake and also after a day walking came home to delicious homemade gingerbread. Breakfast is also freshly made and the porridge with cinnamon and banana and honey was absolutely delicious. Nothing is a bother to Laura and she also recommended some great walks. We'll definitely be back and thanks again for your hospitality and the lovely prosecco and anniversary card.

We're delighted to hear how much you enjoyed your first visit to the area and sincerely hope you'll return to have a go at kayaking too! We always like to pamper our guests with small treats when possible as we feel that those little extras make a stay with us memorable. It was super to meet you both and help you unwind from lockdown!
