We arrived for our 1 night stay, booked 6 months ago and struggled to find the place as although there was a sign at the bottom of the track, non of the buildings off the track advertised themselves as our accommodation. We knocked on what was actually the accommodation but no response. We phoned and left a message. An hour later we spoke to the neighbour who said that the owner had gone on holiday, and this wasn't the first time they had let guests down like this. Tried to contact hotels.com but unable to speak to anybody. Eventually had to drive another half a mile to find somewhere with availability. Very poor business sense.

We arrived at the so called Strontian boutique today (15 May 2021) after booking it weeks ago. A few days before we were due to go I phoned to see what time we could check in. Callum told me 16.00hrs but not a problem if we were early. When we eventually arrived a guy who was decorating the place told us the booking was cancelled. No email, no phone call, NOTHING! Luckily we got booked somewhere else. I managed to contact Callum and he tried to fob me off saying he sent me an email, text. DID HE HELL. He even had the audacity to offer us a complimentary night. Absolutely shocking. AVOID THIS PLACE.

We were cancelled by the owner less than 48 before arrival. Advised they weren’t ready for us after a 4 month lockdown. Promised to find alternative, not satisfactory, promised to find something else, pay for it, offered complimentary night there and heard nothing. Family trip cancelled, kids are devastated. Reading the reviews they have done this several times before, wish I’d read these before booking. Absolutely appalling and disgusting behaviour. Not what you’d expect from a highland hospitality establishment.

Very accommodating, great host's. Working in the local area said not to bother cooking us breakfast as we would need to be gone by 6am, said not a problem and cooked us breakfast ready for 5.30am great evening meals!

We had a bit of a hunt finding this tucked away bungalow, a women from whom we asked directions, said 'have fun'. We certainly did! We enjoyed our stay very much. The difference between this boutique B and B and the two others we stayed at on our Scotish holiday is that Callam and Andy, the hosts are relatively young. They know what is expected and provide it with helpful friendliness and attention to detail. Andy, a high class chef cooked us a very good steak dinner and we enjoyed chatting with Callum as he served us. We had two fantastic days exploring the area towards Malaig and went on a brilliant boat trip. How lovely to return to the wonderful jacuzzi for a hot soak before supper! A memorable stay for all the right reasons.
