Loved this hotel, from the friendliness to the fabulous food, the quiet village to the wonderful view. Good value Itison deal. Every aspect made our two night stay most enjoyable. Even the weather was stunning, from the dramatic waves hitting the shore one night to the calmness and warm sunshine the next morning!

Just recently we have been experiencing quite dramatic weather changes, just as you describe. Myself and the rest of the team are glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to your return. Thank you for taking the time to write a review letting others know what a beautifully peaceful village we live in. Christine

We're just back from a 3 night break at The Royal an lochan. First impressions were good and the location is stunning. Our bedroom looked out to the soothing view of the loch as did the dining and breakfast rooms. The room was adequate, but the bed uncomfortable and the bathroom door so stiff that we each bumped our heads...

Thank you for taking time to write your review. I wish you had mentioned some of these items upon your departure when we could have attended to them right away. The broadband connection and service is a bone of contention within the village, it is very poor and it is frustrating when guests complain as there is nothing we can...

We have been thinking about visiting this hotel for some time and my husband's birthday seemed an ideal opportunity. We were definitely not disappointed. Keith and Christine made us feel very welcome and made sure we had everything we needed to make our weekend special. We particularly appreciated their 'low key' approach to our celebrations as requested! The room, the...

We visited the Royal for our anniversary this August and can't fault it. The setting is stunning, set right on the shore front with views over to Bute. We opted for a sea view room, which was well worth the small additional charge, especially as we managed to time our stay for the sunniest three days of an otherwise gloomy...

Another lovely review, I must say the staff did look at me rather funny when I came out with the number "2" birthday candle for your cheese board, until of course I explained it was you 2nd Anniversary. I do have a number "3" candle and am hopping for your return! Thank you and I am so glad you both...
