We were in a holiday lodge in Kames and visited the Hotel many times in 2 weeks, for coffee, tea, for lunch, dinner and the bar cafe. The staff is very friendly and ;professional and has humour. The food was super fresh; fresh fish for lunch, seafood from Loch Fyne and fine super quality lamb meat from the Isle of...

We stopped at this hotel/bar for lunch. The views from the three bar rooms are delightful even on a drizzly day. The food was freshly prepared and served with the minimum of fuss. I would recommend the haddock and chips, freshly caught and absolutely delicious. It was a very kind of them to surprise Granny when they found out that...

We took our three girls for dinner and were lucky to get a seat as it was quite busy. Brilliant service with very friendly staff. The food was absolutely delicious, good menu with range of dishes to suit all. Nice relaxed atmosphere and obviously very popular with locals and visitors.

I got stranded a long way from home due to a road accident and asked my missus to find me a hotel. I feel very fortunate that she found this hotel for me. The room was clean and fresh and bright, tea coffee and Tunnock's teacakes all laid on. They serve good food and I tried to tackle three starters...

We were directed here for dinner, having been unable to get a table at a nearby hotel first - very glad we ended up at the Kames Hotel. The bar and restaurant are smart with nice views. The staff promised us a table and though their system seemed a bit haphazard we were seated quite quickly. Staff were lovely and...

This is a lovely hotel and pub by the side of the loch with unrestricted views over the water. The pub is very nicely decorated and was packed on a Saturday night, which was good as there's nowhere else to go. We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant, rather than the bar, as it is a beautiful room with original...

Had a fantastic short break 24th & 25th June at this lovely hotel. The location is fantastic and the view from our room (109) was stunning looking out over the loch. The room and en-suite were spacious, tastefully decorated and the bed very comfortable. The staff were friendly and the food was excellent, would recommend you even stop for a...

My girlfriend and I have visited the Kames 3 or 4 times now and have never been disappointed. The interior of the bar is warm welcoming, but with an old world tavern ambience, you just feel at home as soon as you walk in. There's a great selection of drinks, local ales, ciders, beers, wines and a great selection of...
