Myself and friends have stayed at the Argyle a number of times now. We come to Bute each summer to play the island's three golf courses and we've always had a really positive experience at the Argyle. The owners, Heather and Calum, are a really lovely couple and go out of their way to help make your stay as pleasant... More

We took a last minute break and were glad to have taken it at Argyle House. Heather, Callum and family were very welcoming. We were given Room 2 for the week, on the first floor, with wonderful views over Rothesay Bay. The weather was kind to us which made all the difference to our holiday. Breakfast was varied each morning... More

A great b&b run by some good friendly people Heather and Amos. Good rooms with tea and coffee and freeveiw tv and a nice bed. Heather also cooks a great breakfast in the mornings. I would recomend this b&b to anyone.

I stay here every year it's like home from home. Because I am up early and ready for walking I get a cooler in my room so I can have breakfast whenever I want which is really great! I always have the same room and my dog makes a beeline for it as soon as we arrive. I recommend it... More

Twas the night before Christmas Eve and my 16 year old son got on the wrong ferry and ended up in Bute! With the weather stopping ferry's returning him home, Heather, Amos and family very kindly took him in. When I spoke to them they were kind understanding and said it is Christmas...they would get him home. This family really... More

Honestly, we did not know anythink about The Argyl Guest House.. it was booked for us by our friends, but we were really surprised with fantastic hospitality, romantic view from our rooms' window, with kindness and disposability of our hosts. Each morning Heather tried to give something new, cooking the breakfasts and Calum was sincerely interesting what we could visit... More

Two Dutch friends of mine stayed here for 1 night, the room was very clean and comfortable, best sleep they had for ages! Although I live locally, Heather and Amos invited me to join my friends for breakfast the next morning. It was delicious, and plentiful. On behalf of my friends: thanks for the lovely stay!
