I can confirm the comments in several reviews. The hotel is soleless and the rooms and corridors are dirty. We stayed on two occasions for one night on our way to and from the Highlands, the second being worse than the first. Room not ready untill several hours after recommended check in, then no towels available for another two hours, I also had my suspicions about the bed linen. However the staff were very polite and obviously under pressure through lack of numbers.Breakfast was very limited very little choice.Best avoided.

Been waiting 5weeks for a refund that I was promised. Countless phone calls to the hotel and I just get fobbed off. They ignore my emails and I've been left at a loose end. Communication is terrible. Avoid

I highly recommend the Loch Long Hotel. As soon as we arrived we felt a warm welcome. Especially from Fiona on reception and Megan from the bar. They were very bright and bubbly our whole stay and went the extra mile to make our trip more enjoyable. The food was great! There were many light lunch options and a lovely evening menu. The hot tubs were an added bonus and made the trip that more fun, whilst in the hot tub you have a lovely view of the hills. The beds were very comfortable, the overall standard for a 3 star hotel was outstanding!

We stayed at the loch long hotel for one night. Stunning room with great views. Had dinner and the portions were very big and delicious. The girl at the desk,Fiona was so nice and couldnt do enough for us,along with the other staff. Definitely recommend.

I’d read some pretty negative reviews about this hotel and was quite worried. We could see that the hotel was a bit short-staffed, and it was particularly noticeable in relation to the food, as the bar menu on the first night was rather sparse, but our pizzas were delicious. Our rooms were good, clean, and had a lovely view of the loch. The staff were all friendly and helpful. . The dining room only opened on our last night, a Friday, when my fish dish was very tasty.
