Arrive Friday 8th October with three friends for a Highland break from pick in Glasgow to Arrochar At Claymore Hotel. Quick check in, and had lovely room 508 and 509. Staff extremely friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble, breakfast amazing and loads of choice, dinner was good and the chef outdone himself on Sunday night with delicious mouth watering duck, cooked to perfection. Staff in hotel and restaurant work very hard especially with 3 Coachloads from Caledonian Travel. Lounge extremely comfortable and if you get the window seats overlooking the Loch which is a stunning view to look out at. Hats off to Willie who worked hard, was extremely funny, and his card tricks were great, entertainment, the comedian (who he described his wife “Crab Apple” was fabulous with his jokes, singing and stories, laughed all night. Would definitely go back. Great work by Management, Reception staff, bar staff, waiters and waitress.

Booked the romantic get away for my partners birthday and couldn't have asked for anything better!! After reading the reviews on here I was really sceptical but we really enjoyed our stay! Chocolates and prosecco were part of the deal and already in the room for our arrival! Great wee touch! Our room was a little small but great for the 1 night and the view from our window was perfect! All staff were amazing and lovely! We had the 3 course meal included in the price which was great, plenty of options to choose from and they had a supplement menu too just in case you didn't fancy the dinner inclusive meal menu which was a lovely touch! Service was quick and everything tasted so great!! We went through to the lounge after to find there was entertainment on which really was a nice surprise as we had no idea! The guys song choice was great, had everyone singing along and the odd few dancing lol! Breakfast in the morning was great too loads of options although some square sausage would have been the icing on the cake! As if everything else wasn't just perfect for what we needed and were looking for the wee village was just gorgeous and the views from anywhere on the hotel site were absolutely stunning!! We will be back arrochar hotel! Thank you for everything!

We stayed here twice - at the start and finish of our Scottish Adventure . Sept 4th - before we too the ferry from Oban . Bed dinner and Bfast . All good with a room with alovely view of loch and dinner was ok - nothing fancy but filled the void after a long day on the road from England. Breakfast was ok and again stated the hunger pangs. Sept 17th - back and in a corner room so double aspect view to long loch. Dinner and breakfast were good . This hotel is ideally situated for one night and gateway to the highlands - with loch lomond just minutes away. It's quiet, the staff are nice and helpful and it's a solid 3 star establishment. It could be more with a bit of TLC, some remodeling. I can see this being popular with large coach parties of the more mature traveller variety. We would stay again - but probably not on the full meal plan as other places in the area to eat.

On arrival there were no signs for disabled spaces, and only steps to reception.  Although we were too early to check-in,  friendly receptionist dealt with paperwork,  offered to store our luggage and opened the bar for drinks.  Amazing views from the bar.   At 3pm I collected our key from  another friendly receptionist (with gorgeous long nails). The bedroom was fine for us.  I knew when I booked it would be a shower over the bath, not a walk in shower, not ideal but for one night...   Our room was at the side of the hotel so relatively quiet when traffic started around 6 am.  The only issue I have is the radiator was under the window and couldn't be turned off, and the window was open all night.   Waste of money especially with fuel bills going up. My dinner choice was a bland main course - you eat with your eyes they say, my dish of trout with a white sauce, white mashed potatoes and white cauliflower, the only colour coming from the orange of the carrots. Unfortunately not very appetising,  especially when my goats cheese starter was so good.   I decided not to have a dessert or cheese although my husband had the trio of desserts which looked and, he said, tasted amazing. Breakfast next morning was fine,  good selection of both cooked and continental foods. We had a late checkout and again receptionist was very nice and friendly.  In fact all the staff were very nice and a credit to the hotel   Would recommend,  especially for views from the front of the building.
