I was on a road trip in the Loch Lomond area when I fell very ill and we and my friends had to find somewhere to stay on very short notice. The room was clean and comfortable in a central location near all necessary amenities - including the hospital and local store which both proved very useful. However, what stood...

Very warm welcome from Tommy, showed us our room and the rest of the property. The breakfast was very good. Great location for visiting Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. Boat trips on Loch Lomond available from Balloch, and Loch Lomond Shores where there is also a retail outlet, mini golf and sealife centre Would recommend this place for anyone wishing...

just stayed the one night. The guest house is centrally located. We had a dog with us and they did not charge for him. The Loch Lomond hotel just across the bridge made dogs welcome and had a good menu. It was nice and warm and Tommy does a good full English breakfast. It was quiet and we slept well....

Booked a hotel room at short notice, we weren't sure what to expect as we didn't have time to review the property. We shouldn't have been apprehensive at all as we were pleasantly surprised and happy with our choice. We were met a the door by a lovely man - the owner maybe? Who showed us to our room. The...

Stayed one night at the Anchorage as at a wedding and was only looking for somewhere cheap to bed down for the night. In hindsight I would have paid a bit more and stayed somewhere else. The room was okay, clean and the bathroom was good. The breakfast was basic but edible. Good location and off road parking. Probably wouldn't...

Small, simple yet functional. It's in a brilliant location 2 mins from the lochside, 5mins from Balloch castle park and in the middle of bars, restaurants and take aways. We stayed on a Saturday night and this meant lots of the other guests were coming back late (gone 1am) and between the creaky laminate floor, the thin walls and the...

Honestly, the location was the only plus for this B & B. Directly in Balloch and next door to the Tourist information Center. The B & B is extremely overpriced for what is offered. Rooms: Very small, could do with an overhaul, no place to put anything. Room number 9 right at the entrance. Could hear everything. Space under the...

There were 7 of us staying at the Anchorage Guest House. Tom was very helpful and kind. He gave us all the Eurocup scores. The rooms were a little small, but clean and light. Breakfast was great. It was a pleasant stay.

We had a tiny room with a snug bed, an efficient, powerful shower, good towels and bed linen, and plenty of storage space. The proprietor was friendly and gave us some helpful tips on what to see and where to eat around Loch Lomond. The central location was ideal for getting around on foot, and the breakfast was superb. A...

Nice small guesthouse. We were three people and had a nice suite with a third bed in a living room. The rooms were nice and big with a couch. The owner was really nice and friendly. The breakfast was good with a good choice of food.
