Stayed one night at the Anchorage as at a wedding and was only looking for somewhere cheap to bed down for the night. In hindsight I would have paid a bit more and stayed somewhere else. The room was okay, clean and the bathroom was good. The breakfast was basic but edible. Good location and off road parking. Probably wouldn't...

Small, simple yet functional. It's in a brilliant location 2 mins from the lochside, 5mins from Balloch castle park and in the middle of bars, restaurants and take aways. We stayed on a Saturday night and this meant lots of the other guests were coming back late (gone 1am) and between the creaky laminate floor, the thin walls and the...

Honestly, the location was the only plus for this B & B. Directly in Balloch and next door to the Tourist information Center. The B & B is extremely overpriced for what is offered. Rooms: Very small, could do with an overhaul, no place to put anything. Room number 9 right at the entrance. Could hear everything. Space under the...

There were 7 of us staying at the Anchorage Guest House. Tom was very helpful and kind. He gave us all the Eurocup scores. The rooms were a little small, but clean and light. Breakfast was great. It was a pleasant stay.

We had a tiny room with a snug bed, an efficient, powerful shower, good towels and bed linen, and plenty of storage space. The proprietor was friendly and gave us some helpful tips on what to see and where to eat around Loch Lomond. The central location was ideal for getting around on foot, and the breakfast was superb. A...

Nice small guesthouse. We were three people and had a nice suite with a third bed in a living room. The rooms were nice and big with a couch. The owner was really nice and friendly. The breakfast was good with a good choice of food.

After a bit of research decided on the Anchorage Guest House. It seemed ideal for our needs - a one night stopover and we were not disappointed. Ideally situated in the heart of Balloch opposite the train station. It was quiet though. We made the short journey from Glasgow in 40 mins arriving early and intended leaving the car in...

There were six of us in our party plus a child and a dog, we only needed accommodation for one night, rare for a B&B but they were only too happy to let us stay. Very clean and comfortable accommodation, good breakfast the following morning. Right in the centre if Balloch, handy for taking a boat trip on the Loch....

We spent two days in Loch Lomond and this wee guest house had been our perfect place. Close to an excellent indian restaurant (highly recomended) is run by a lovely man whose name is Tom. Often he played with our wee bairn. Warm and well clean, we loved the breakfast, which was cooked by Tom himself. He's not a 5...

The first thing we were told was to avoid certain areas in the town at night due to the people being rough and not very friendly. From about 7pm the street was filled with rowdy pub goers. You couldn't hear the TV from all the noise outside. A night club basically next door and a very loud pub across the...
