Stayed here with our dog to escape fireworks. Perfect location. Very peaceful. Host very welcoming. Room cosy and spotless - nice treat to be able to log into Netflix and Amazon prime on the TV. Breakfast was outstanding, good quality produce and very generous. Owners clearly take a lot of pride in this b and b. Will definitely be back.

I stayed for three nights whilst doing various hill walks in the area, and to avoid the very high prices found as you get towards Fort William especially over the weekend. The room was spotlessly clean and well maintained, with a very comfortable bed, decent towels and great storage. There was also a good range of hot drinks (hot chocolate and decaf tea definitely appreciated for someone who wants something hot in the evening!) and biscuits, a modern smart TV which I could stream to from my phone and surprisingly good wifi. The views were very pleasant out the front and there was the peaceful sound of the nearby water in the evening being far enough from the road, and minimal noise that I could hear from other rooms even though the stairs are a bit creaky. All I'd ask it it would be great to have a box of tissues in the bedroom! There was an issue with the water colour during my stay due to the low rainfall causing a peat residue, but this was clearly explained and lots of bottle water provided for drinking. I was also very glad the COVID protection measures were clear, sensible and taken seriously throughout the stay. The breakfast was excellent with a wide range of options - probably the biggest problem for me is that I'm not a big breakfast person so it was difficult to eat all the great food! The cooked breakfast was great (also seems to have mastered poached eggs which is impressive!) but I also went for porridge and toast on other days with the homemade jams which were great too. I was probably one of the few who arrives without a car - I made my trips by train, the B&B is a little further out of Crianlarich than I realised so the road is pitch black in the evening with no pavements, but having arrived in the daylight it wasn't too far to go. John was also an excellent host as well who clearly understood hospitality, always maintaining conversational but allowing my own space as well. I was generally looking for something on the budget end, so had pushed my budget a little for this stay, but look around for a good deal or contact directly as I certainly wasn't disappointed.

We only stayed one night. There are many things going for this B&B, we really enjoyed our stay short as it was. We were greeted by John and everything was explained in an easy to understand manner. The cooked breakfast is delicious, the quality of the products speak for themselves, rarely does your bacon taste this good and the black pudding was amazing all cooked to perfection and piping hot. No frills, just plain and practical, lots of little extras, which make for a comfortable stay. Beds were very comfy. Our room wasn't huge and we'd have struggled to stay a week in there, but there maybe bigger rooms available I don't know. We went across the road to eat again plain and simple, but so tasty. My husband enjoyed the beer very much and the staff were great, nothing too much trouble even though they were short staffed.. We were sorry we weren't staying longer to try other things on the menu...one thing we forgot was to take a torch with us, glad I'd got the one on my phone...not much of a pavement and no street lights.

I have been coming here for a few years now with work and whether we have stayed in the main building or the annexe it has always been excellent. It's a beautiful house set in lovely scenery with birds and red squirrels visiting the feeder. John always looks after us very well and this visit was no exception. Great breakfasts and very clean and Covid aware. Highly recommended.

Extremely welcoming! The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and there were lots of options. Overall a charming atmosphere. We would happily stay here again. Also, they’re very quick drives into the park or in to Crianlarich with stunning views all around.
