Stopped off for lunch and was very surprised and delighted at the quality of the food and the excellent coffee. The menu wasn't extensive but had a wide variety of pub classics and the dessert looked fantastic although we were too full from the steak sub to have one.

My partner and I had had a wonderful 8 days in Scotland staying at various hotels and B and Bs. We booked this hotel online as a last night before heading back to England. The village and view down the loch were really pretty and the Inn had lovely flowering window boxes but this was by far and away the... More

Stopped on Friday evening for dinner, first thing I noticed was when I was going to put my Handbag on the floor, the floor was FILTHY, so didn't bother, the table also had wet class rings from the previous diners. We saw on the menu, FRESH Haddock, so took a chance, we shouldn't have bothered, it was that awful FROZEN... More

My family and I have been visiting Drimsynie estate for 15 years and regardless of the time of year or weather we walk over to the Goil for a pint. It has seen a fair bit of redevelopment over the years some better than others. But the staff have always been helpful and polite I can't wait to go back.

Stopped for lunch here as we are staying down the road on holiday. Really good food that came out very hot. Really friendly service and seemed very clean. Great view of the loch. Would definitely go again.

Checked the menu on line before we booked a table at the Inn, to check the children's menu as my daughter is a very fussy eater. A week later we arrived at Lochgoilhead and went for our dinner only to be informed that the children's menu had entirely changed and there was now nothing that my child ate, when I... More

Visited The Goil Inn today for a meal with friends. The food was awful and we will definitely not return. The staff were very nice and friendly. We felt sorry for the staff as they had to keep explaining to us that they had run out of peas, flat bread, broccoli and carrots. We were not told when ordering about all the... More

We visited for a family meal when staying in the village for a holiday and the experience was a bit mixed. The food was ok and the staff friendly, but there was a mix up with our ticket and one meal arrived later than the rest. To be fair they rectified that error as quickly as possible and took that... Had dinner here twice as we were staying in a local cottage. The menu is standard pub food, our first visit was much better than our second. The food is good, the steak pie was particularly nice. The service is friendly albeit a bit chaotic if it's slightly busier. On our second visit we had to get a high chair... More
