I had sweet and sour chicken at this hotel last week. I was tasty, looked good well presented and there were 5 large pieces of chicken in batter. Great and good value too, all helped down by some lovely real ale.

The steak was good, I expected a little more meat and fish variety. Having said the quality was good and I enjoyed both meals and if in the area I...

Wow, what can I say, Rona the manager was amazing; friendly, completely professional & made us feel totally at home from the start. But all staff & the general feel of the Kings Arms is amazing, when we go back we'll 'definitely' be staying here again, a real home away from home feeling, thank you all so much x

Spent a Tuesday night having seen the reviews here on trip advisor decided to give it a go. Managed to book a table and at first we did not expect it too be an issue as not very busy. But soon we were mistaken as without half an hour the place was full to the brim with everyone ordering food....

Dropped by a couple of times during a week's stay in Dalbeattie. On first arrival it was about 10 minutes before close of kitchen so I thought this might be a problem as we we were till missing some of our group. Not at all, staff behind the bar couldn't have been nicer. The menu was extensive and again all...

Was staying close to Dalbeattie so decided to walk into the village to see if there was somewhere to get some lunch. Found this little gem who do a two course lunch menu for £4.99! Admittedly I assumed I would get a portion the size of a teaspoon for this price but in reality it was belting value. I had...
