A fantastic country house hotel set in its own grounds. A fantastic warm welcome to a grand country house full of history. Fantastic menu that gives you an allowence to use on a la carte menu. Fantastic food great bar area with a log fire you are encouraged to keep alive by adding logs really looking forward to Christmas lunch...

Had overnight stay for Christmas disco night. Excellent bar lunch on arrival and super evening meal in the dining room. Lively party atmosphere for disco. Very friendly staff and locals also gave warm welcome. Neil a genial host who puts everyone at their ease. Highly recommended.

Booked for a special anniversary meal. Bit disappointed. Left to find an empty chair to put our jackets on. Meal o.k.but onion rings soggy and duck a bit over cooked. Staff friendly but will not rush back

Terri and Neil have worked so hard to make improvements at the Clonyard. It is a lovely place to come and relax. We have been on many afternoons for a lunch and a drink and it never fails to hit the spot.

Staying in the village of Colvend and popped into this Hotel in the passing to enquire if we could have a bar lunch. We have a small (well behaved) dog and this was no problem for this establishment. We were made very welcome and the dog was even given biscuits - a bonus for our dog - who is ruled...

We have stayed here twice before but this was our first visit since the ownership changed and the rooms were refurbished. Once again we were in one of the garden rooms in the extension where there are french windows giving access to the car-park. The food, as previously, was of a high standard, particularly the (wild) salmon and haddock. Many...
