We really enjoyed the 2 nights that we spent at East Challoch Farm. The owners Joan and George are really welcoming and gave us good pieces of advice regarding the places to visit and the restaurants to try. The breakfast was amazing, well cooked and with a lot of choice. Sausages, bacon and salmon were all sourced locally. Our bedroom...

Just had 7 days in Court Cottage and it was great!! Myself, Wife and 2 kids went and had a wonderful time. The accommodation was just what we wanted and had all the mod-cons that we needed and also the prerequisite wi-fi for the kids!! The youngest one loved seeing the animals (especially the Al Pacas) and the eldest one...

We have just arrived back from a 5 night very relaxing stay in Court cottage. One of 2 self catering cottages in the grounds of the bed and breakfast. We stayed in the 2 bedroom cottage. Which was well equipped. The kitchen / dining room is light and has lovely views over the surrounding countryside. A train line runs in...

Just got back from our eighth holiday at East Challoch Farm. It is still,(and always will be), the best place we have ever been to. We have stayed in the house B/B and also in the cottages. The family room, which has terrific views over Luce Bay, is especially nice, and the food is superb. You are made to feel...

We spent the week to Good Friday this year and had a friend come up for two nights with us. We booked the largest cottage for the week in the Easter holidays as they were so late this year. At a very very reasonable price for a 6 berth accommodation. We could also take along the pooches. I recommend taking...

I wanted to take my other half to visit Castle Kennedy and gardens near Stranraer, so set out to look for a place nearby to stay. By chance I happened upon this lovely farm and after reading the first two reviews on Tripadvisor I called up and booked. So glad I did. The building is large, light and extremely well...

We had a lovely night's B&B accommodation here on Thurs 25th July, before getting the 11:30 ferry from Cairnryan the next morning. The ferry is only about 20 minutes away. We were pleasantly surprised at the size of our double room which also had a single bed in one corner. The room felt enormous, was very clean and the bed...

My husband and I recently stayed at East Challoch Farm while we were touring Dumfries and Galloway. Joan welcomed us to her very comfortable home where we were excellently looked after. Our double room was enormous with dual aspect windows giving us lovely views of Luce Bay, the farm and gardens. It also had a sofa, useful for watching TV....

My mum & I spent 2 weeks travelling around Scotland and this B&B was the best by far both for quality and value for money. Was extremely good value. The twin room was huge & very clean and the ensuite a decent size. Breakfast was excellent and we also paid additional for an evening meal which was also excellent. Location...
