This hotel was absolutely amazing. Everything was immaculate. Nothing was too much trouble. Would recommend this establishment to anyone. The only negative if there was one was that it was a bit out of the way, but this should not prevent anyone going there. Would give this hotel 9 out of 5.

Fernlea is located on Lewis Street, one of the main roads running south from the town centre. Though Stranraer itself is rather run-down, and badly needs a major effort to develop new facilities for visitors, Fernlea is a bright spot which deservedly earns a high approval rating. WIth an awesome breakfast menu, tidy well-appointed and spacious rooms, secure parking at...

We stayed for one night here before boarding the ferry to Belfast. What a fantastic stay it was. Our room, although small, had every amenity and was very comfortable. The modern shower room was immaculate - I don't think it had been used before, it looked brand new. Never seen one so clean!!! Breakfast was a delight and the hosts...

Actually it was more than home from home because Lynn makes the best porridge ever! We were given a very warm welcome when we arrived. Lynn showed us to our room (no 5) which was delightful. Beautifully decorated and comfortable with a large en suite. All the extras in the bathroom and the hospitality tray made our 4 day stay...

When my wife and arrived at Fernlea for a 2 nights stay we were met at the front door by Lynn, who with her husband Kenny are the owners of this Bed and Breakfast / Guesthouse. From the moment we met her, Lynn could not do enough for us. We stayed in room #5 at the top of the stairs....

Stayed here one night on a cycle touring holiday. Bikes safely stored in garage. We had a large twin room with comfy beds, good TV, wifi, tea and coffee, etc. Small ensuite bathroom in corner with good large shower. Plenty of big white towels. Breakfast was excellent with porridge and a full Scottish plateful. Easy walk into town centre; leisure...

The Fernlea Guest House is located well to catch the ferry ... just ten minutes up the road. The house is on a large gated property. We stayed in a second floor corner room. The room was of adequate size ... and furnished in a homey decor ... with a nice view over the back yard and neighborhood. The bathroom...

Stayed for one night after attending a wedding which started at 1pm. Lynn was really helpful and offered us an early check in at 11am so we could drop our luggage off and get changed on our way to the wedding venue to save travelling in our wedding garb! She was really friendly and gave us a warm welcome. The...
