This is a unique experience, staying in a working lighthouse. Rooms are furnished with antiques, hotel has a sea and boat theme throughout. The location is magnificent. From our balcony we could watch the birds and see the ferries on the horizon plying their way to/from Ireland . The food was very high class with 5 courses. Breakfast was freshly...

Stayed on a Saturday for my wife’s 40th birthday. The family has long holidayed in south Ayrshire/Galloway so it was a lovely drive down through all the old haunts. I had never been to Corsewall although it is similar to the style of Mull of Galloway and Killentrigan lighthouses. Be warned there is a single-track road for the last mile...

Situated on the rocky shoreline of the northwest coast of the Rhinns of Galloway, in stunningly beautiful natural surrounds, this small and somewhat remote (about 15 minutes drive from Stranraer) hotel is located in and around the historic lighthouse built in 1815 and retains many original features, including the charming (if a little inconvenient) spiral-staircase leading to the upper rooms,...

Easter weekend, and I suspect that the Mull of Galloway was busy with visitors. Meanwhile, at the other end of the Rhins, we just about had Corsewall point to ourselves. After some time watching the gannets, ferries, waves crashing on the rocks and enjoying the view towards Ailsa Craig, we adjourned to the lighthouse hotel for refreshments. We were shown...

This is a remote and beautiful location but is an easy drive from Stranraer. The location is lovely it feels quite remote despite being only a short drive from the town. inside it was somewhat dated but I feel that is in keeping with the overall feel of the place. We only had a snack but it was nicely presented,...

I've visited with friends who wanted to see something different in Scotland and the site it's perfect for that. Around 2.5 hours drive from Glasgow, accessible with car easily, it's an amazing spot for families, couples and groups of friends. The hotel is great and the experience of being in a fully functioning lighthouse it's great. We had a clear...

My husband and I stayed in the Lighthouse Suite which was about a 1 minute walk from the main hotel. The views we got from here were spectacular. The dinner at night was lovely with 5 courses included and a great selection to choose from. Breakfast in the morning too was lovely. Staff all friendly. Would definately recommend this place...

Very quirky small hotel with very friendly staff and lovely food. Pretty surrounding countryside, although quite desolate in February which is only to be expected. The first night we were there we were the only guests staying in the lighthouse part of the hotel as there are also suites outside in the grounds. I was surprised and somewhat uncomfortable when...
