We were (as often happens) on the lookout for somewhere to eat lunch in the middle of nowhere. As we drove down yet another little lane, losing hope of eating until later we suddenly came upon a sign saying 'hotel open for to non-residents for lunch and dinner". Unfortunately when we arrived the chef had just finished shutting up the...

popped in on a very windy day recently, hotel was very quiet, but friendly young lady advised coffee was available in lounge. she suggested we try the shortbread which proved to be amazing, we all agreed that it was the best we had ever tasted. the lighthouse is well of the beaten track, but the views justify the bumpy track.

Stayed in a beautiful, warm holiday cottage on the peninsula next to Loch Ryan near Stranraer and decided, on the day after Boxing Day to walk the 5 miles to the Corsewall Lighthouse Hotel for lunch. Our friends went by car about an hour ahead of us. It was a lovely day and we were pleased to see from a...

Visited this magical place for our anniversary (had a wedding reception here too) and it is still as always, simply beautiful! Venue is extraordinary and as usual we've stayed in Mull of Kintore room. The hotel is spotless and very well kept. Staff is extremely pleasant and professional. We have just spent 3 nights in the Lighthouse Suite. It was beautiful. The views are stunning and the suite was very comfortable. The food was amazing in the small quaint restaurant. Staff were very helpful at all times. The road to the lighthouse is only a single track and bumpy but that would not put us off going back....

My husband and I recently happened upon this gorgeous and very special spot. What a delightful surprise! Absolutely gorgeous location with homey, clean and comfortable accommodation, friendly and professional staff and delicious food! Everything about our visit was perfect. The price was very reasonable and they accepted our little dog. I can't wait to go back!

Booked a 1 night stay at Corsewall for our anniversary on a DBB basis. The dinner was a 5 course gourmet experience and seemed to suit the occasion perfectly. My advance requests for flowers and champagne in the room on arrival were timed to perfection and set the tone for our stay. The gourmet dinner was a truly memorable experience...

If you come with the expectations of a 'City type' luxurious Hotel then you are going to be sorely mistaken; and have obviously not taken the time to read up on the Hotel. It is luxury of a different kind. The Hotel has been built into what was the original home of the Lighthouse Watchkeeper so space is at a...

We travelled along a bumpy narrow road in search of lunch to this hotel. It had a sign saying visitors welcome but we were surprised to find the receptionist was quite abrupt and we were asked to wait in a small room and only offered sandwiches and tea and coffee as there was no room in the hotel this did...
