Wonderful time, I was on business over night but great welcome, suggestion on where to eat and great comfortable warm room with loads of space and clean & everything you needed including Wi-Fi. Very quite and a great breakfast where nothing was too much trouble. Look forward to taking my wife next time!

Don't be put off by the low price. Really impressed with the harbour guest house. From the warm welcome, clean and sizeable en suite rooms with mini fridge with complementary bottles of water to the great breakfast, my stay was a happy one and I will be using again.

Friendly and helpful proprietors. Although an older property the beds were comfortable, the en-suite had the facilities we required. Although neither of us eat a cooked breakfast it was available should we want one. The breakfast we did have was very good.

We used the Harbour Guest House as a stop off point before catching the Cairnryan Ferry to Belfast. The pleasant room had all the facilities required to have a restful nights sleep before catching the ferry. A first rate breakfast finished off a perfect stay. We will be staying here every time we are over in this part of Scotland.

Stayed here overnight on a big cycle ride around Southern Scotland. I was supposed to arrive at around 8pm but eventually got there at 10.45pm and the owner was happy to wait up for me. I received a very warm welcome and they allowed me to put my bike in the hallway. A great night's sleep in a clean and... More

Great reception upon arrival. A quick and clear tour around the house. Room is well kept after and very spacious! Breakfast was impeccable and with choice of many healthy options! Will more than likely visit again in the future!

We got in later than expected, but rang the owner, who let us in. The room was nice, the beds comfy, the bathroom enormous, and the breakfast first rate. Loved the Victorian features, high ceilings, moldings, furnishings. Would stay again no problem.

I arrived very late and the owner was very accommodating. I was leaving very early in the morning to go to Belfast, so the owners left me an in room breakfast tray. The room was comfy and homely and the bathroom was fab. I would happily stay here again.

What a find. A guest house with 5 star service. We had a harbour view room. A lovely period building but with all mod cons - ensuite, fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, hair dryer, comfortable beds and fluffy towels. Matt & Shirley are great hosts serving a delicious breakfast & friendly atmosphere. Various pubs & restaurants near by. Really worth a... More
