We stopped in Arisaig for the evening after crossing from the Isle of Skye a few hours earlier. The Old Library is a restaurant with a few rooms over the restaurant. Our room looked out over the bay. The bed was a bit lumpy but it was actually better than it looked. More is going for this inn than meets...

This is a fantastic place to stay. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The restaurant is in the main building and although small, is very comfortable and welcoming. A very friendly place with good food, will definitely return and will recommend to others.

I wouldn't go back. The personnel is very welcoming but the place in itself isn't stunning. Porridge served for breakfast is not very good. I feel we pay for the location and the nice view on the Hebrides. There is hardly any tea offered in the room (Just English breakfast tea whereas others offer also earl grey or tisane). Dinner...

We had two lunch visits to the Old Library - twice in one week as it was that good! We were fortunate enough with the Highlands weather to be able to sit outside both times. Just as well, as we had our dog with us. You overlook the water in Arisaig, and there quite simply isn't a better seat in...

My husband and I spent two nights here after not being able to find accommodations on Skye and loved every minute. The Inn and the restaurant were top notch with lovely and very friendly service. The rooms were very comfortable and extremely clean and the restaurant downstairs was absolutely delicious with tons of interesting options. The staff were 10/10 and...

We stayed on the 7th July, our first evening before staying on Skye and the Hebrides. we were given room 6 upstairs one of two rooms in the old house, the others are in the rear garden. The room was fairly large with an ancient large bed with lovely views over Arisaig bay. we ate dinner in the restaurant and...

I had the pleasure of dining at the Old Library for my birthday this year along with my wife and two teenage children. There was something on the menu for all of us. As a regular visitor tithe are area so had always assumed wrongly that the prices were higher - especially as the restaurant is very small - and...

The people were friendly and the food mostly good, although not as good as I remember two years ago. Rooms tired as others have noted for the past year. Would still say it is a nice place to stay and probably the best in the village itself.
