This Super 8 hotel is located right next to I-55. On one side of the hotel is a small, quiet family neighborhood. On the other side is a hill that leads down towards the Mississippi river. This is definitely a safe location, however there are no shops nearby for walking due to the interstate being right by the hotel. A shuttle service is offered for a small fee ($3.00 per person/each way to Beale St./Downtown). It runs on demand until midnight! Simply let the front desk know when you are ready to go and give us a call when you are ready to come back.
Also, as far as location goes, there is a Metal Museum behind the hotel as well as an abandoned Marine Hospital. The hospital is a bit of an eye sore but it is a part of Memphis history!
I hope that I have answered your questions! If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the hotel directly. Thank you very much for your interest and we look forward to hearing from you soon!
