Had a meal here earlier today! Three of us ordered separate but we wanted our meals out together as asked but I had mine just as my sister had finished! The butter milk chicken was cuts of terrible chicken, you could see all the fat an also where the artery was.

Best in town for quality food and a traditional old fashioned, well lived in, market town hotel. Booked several weeks in advance for fishing trip but room 118 offered was over the kitchen with window opening over very noisy extractor fan. Wonderful if you are waiting for your flame grilled burger to arrive in the restaurant but nauseating if you...

Sorry to hear about this. The budget rooms are above the kitchen and there is some daytime & evening noise from the fans. Three points to make here: It was Royal Welsh Week so we were fully booked 12 months ago, any rooms on offer were cancellations. For the same reason the kitchen was busy and the fans were on...

Stayed here on 22-24 July. Fitted us in without notice, previously booked local accommodation was unsuitable. The room is excellent, comfortable and clean. A nice local shower products provided in room. The food is outstanding and freshly cooked with plenty of it. Fantastic range of Welsh craft ales including Tiny Rebel, Glamorgan and Boss. Staff extremely welcoming and friendly. Booking...

As a regular visitor to this area I booked as I knew the location was ideal for visiting our relatives and the rooms pictures online are impressive. Our room, one of the 'best' rooms, number 6, is good. Very spacious in both bed and bath room. There are a few dodgy finishes, the door is scruffy for example, but the...

Firstly let me apologise to you for the negative experience that you had with us. I will begin with your arrival. We are a pub with rooms and as such do not man our reception constantly, rather all staff are required to be vigilant for customers arriving. On this occasion we clearly failed however in defence of those on duty...

Down from Aberdeen to visit my father in a nearby nursing home, I went on consecutive days with my sister. Great meals from the specials board both times. All freshly made with the chef able to leave out mussels from fish dishes. Coffee afterwards served with home made cookies. Well done on every count.

We stopped for lunch on our way to Pembrokeshire as we usually do to break the journey. Always receive a warm welcome for us and our dog. Very dog-friendly with water provided. Very nice choice of sandwiches and chips smelt very tempting too.

We were a party of 4 with a disabled guest and stopped off on the off chance of having afternoon tea. The price was £9.95 per person. We expected sandwiches, scone and a piece of cake. What we received far exceeded our expectations. We had sandwiches, scones, welsh cakes and a selection of cakes. So much food that we took...
