My husband and I only stayed the one night. The staff were really welcoming. Paid £10 extra for sea view which was lovely. Nice breakfast. Would definitely recommend this hotel and is good value for money.

Stayed for the week at Monachty and I was truly impressed. The room overlooked the harbour and was clean warm and spacious. We had an ample breakfast each morning served by polite staff. The room was cleaned each day and was left with fresh water and ample tea and coffee. The only issue and I do mean only was the...

Let me start by saying that I love this place, it's clean in a fantastic spot and I have stayed here before. It's a Brains pub/hotel and goes under the grills and more moniker so you know what to expect, burgers, steaks etc reasonably priced. I however am a vegetarian and there is very little to eat on the menu....

Coming from Cardiff brains beer is something of an institution and the monachty is a brains pub so there was always going to be good beer. We went and stayed for a weekend break and ate in the restaurant the first night. The do a really hot tasty chilli along with a good range of pub type food. Breakfast was...

We did not stay in Monachty but we booked a Christmas evening meal and surprisingly were the only people in the dining area although the pub area was packed in the early evening. The meal was excellent and we all enjoyed the evening , just felt that the Monachty lacked "atmosphere" especially towards the end of the evening with groups...

Reasonably priced. Lovely staff. Excellent breakfast. Room was clean and beds comfy. On the down side our twin room was at the side over what I think was the kitchen, so now view and the window only opened a crack. The bathroom door couldn't be shut from the outside and when it rained we couldn't dull the noise of dripping...

We had a room with a view - overlooking the harbour which is tidal so always interesting to view - the bird life, state of the tides, waves, stream and boats etc. Staff in the pub downstairs were friendly and informative and the food was typical pub food- tasty and plenty of it. The Monachty is very central in Aberaeron,...
