Lovely hostel, well run. Super kitchen facilities and really liked the communal dining area. It's all got a farrow and ball feel. Rooms are superb, I loved the private bunk beds. Great that dogs are allowed, they added to the atmosphere. Ate at the pub a few mins walk away, book of you want to go - Bryn Tyrch Inn.

Great hostel right where you want it. Perfect for Snowdon, Tryfan and the Glyders. Comfortable, clean, secure and friendly. The kitchen is great for cooking up that post climb chilli and the beds are first class.

Very comfortable, with all the facilities you'll need, and a few clever extra touches (e.g. curtained individual bunks with night-light and plug). Couple of pubs serving good food and beer, plus two very good cafes, all within walking distance, and easy access to Siabod, the Glyders and the Carnedds.

A truly great find. We'll be back. Wonderful location and conveniently placed for a great walking weekend, a full English Breakfast at Café Siabod (1min walk left) and supper at the Bryn Tyrch Inn (one minute walk right). Worth making a reservation for the latter especially. Super friendly receptionist/manager who went out of her way, and more, to help after...

Honestly, I was slightly nervous about a "five star hostel". Do hostels have any business being posh? Will I be scolded for mud or sneered at for ancient anoraks? In a word no. The hostel is a very thoughtful mix of the hardwearing and the opulent, with lounge furnishings like a Moroccan souk, but the flagstone floor and hardwood stairs...

Four of us stayed for two nights to walk up Snowdon. The hostel was clean and well furnished with little things like curtains on the bunks that raised it above the normal level of a bunkhouse. I will definitely be back.

Stayed in a room with son, brother and two pals. The room was ok except it would've been nice to have known one bed was a double bed before arrival! Kitchen facilities were good and lounge areas were great. Location is great for Snowdon. It's a bit weird that you have to strip your bed and dump it in front...

Let me start by saying this IS an amazing hostel with great facilities and friendly staff. I will definitely stay again. The car park gets a bit crazy with people blocking others in maybe the owners could look at having it marked out to stop confusion or general rudeness of others. My only problem was the poor nights sleep we...

I stayed for almost a week and had a fantastic experience! The location is great; it's a short bus from betws-coed, on the bus route to lots of major hiking trails (there's plenty to do from the hostel too), and next to a good restaurant. The hostel itself was by far the best I've ever stayed in and was so...
