A large group of us descended on the Cemlyn Tea Shop at the end of a long walk(we warned them we were coming!). The host could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Despite the large number, the orders were handled efficiently and food arrived promptly. The range of teas available was vast, as was the knowledge of the host....

We just expected to have tea or coffee with a couple a Welsh biscuits but when we were ushered to a table with a window view of Harlech Castle and looked at the menu, lunch was decided. We ordered the Welsh Rarebit to share. A friendly host greeted us, set up the free WiFi and we were very content. The...

We stayed 2 nights at Cemlyn Tea Rooms 16 & 17 Sept. For friendliness, an ultra-comfortable huge double bed and wonderful cooked breakfast you can't go wrong here. I also have to mention their home cooked scones, Welsh cakes, cream teas etc and the views of Harlech Castle, golf course and the bay. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will return...

Lovely Welsh afternoon tea. Overlooking Harlech Castle and beyond. Abersoch and Portmadoc in the distance. Welsh tea was stunning. Cucumber and cream cheese sandwiches, a scone and beautiful Bara Birth.

We stayed three nights at Cemlyn and we can't recommend it enough Jan and Geoff could not have been more welcoming, accommodating and easy going. We had a room with en suite for the three of us and it was plenty big enough, with a huge bath and shower and comfy beds as well as access to the terrace, which...

This tearoom never fails to please. Service great as always. The menu gives a great choice of light snacks, speciality teas/coffees, alcoholic drinks and good meals. Nice to sit overlooking the castle in good weather but otherwise find a seat in the pleasant rooms inside. Specials on sale each day as well. Well worth a visit but avoid bank holidays...

We selected Harlech as place to pass through on our way back to London from Snowdonia and really so lucky we got here. This lovely tea shop is in the main street and has rooms with a beautiful shared terrace overlooking the Harlech castle. The rooms are lovely and the tea house is fantastic for lunch and great great breakfast....

Good selection of drinks & cakes. Very friendly service. Children had the hot chocolate which they rated highly! Welsh cakes good too. On a warm day the outside seating looked appealing however it was a little cool on our visit. We would return.
