I originally come from Porthmadog and was holidaying with friends from London. We had just walked from Llandecwyn to Harlech with our elderly 11 year old Labrador along the WCP. We planned to catch the train back to Minifford and didn't have time to go up to the high street and so stopped off for a quick drink in this...

Stayed three nights at the end of two weeks on the WCP. Good location, warm welcoming hosts and bar staff, good ales and food; quiet, clean comfortable room. Good parking area outside and a short, but steep, walk up the hill to the castle and village. Disappointed I couldn't get an early (7.30am) breakfast on my last morning when I...

The hotel is easy to find and I received a lovely warm welcome when I arrived- the room I stayed in was well appointed with a modern clean bathroom, (awesome shower), and a good sized comfy bed where I had a great nights sleep. Outside there is a generous parking area for guests which was welcome as the town itself...

Having walked along the beach we came across this inn, we were looking for a drink, possibly a sandwich and a comfort break, we also had two small well behaved dogs on leads. We were told the dogs were not welcome and as it transpired nor were we, told that there was public toilets up the road. We are here...

We spent only one night here, meeting up with friends before moving on. This is a small hotel with a restaurant and bar. Our room was a clean and a good size with tea and coffee making facilities. The bed was comfortable. We dined here and the food was good, The scrambled eggs at breakfast were sublime. We received a...

From the moment we stepped through the door, and received an extremely warm welcome, to the moment we left everything was first class. The room was spacious and very clean with all the facilities one would expect in a hotel of this size. The staff were all very friendly and the food was excellent. We spent a very pleasant evening...

The town of Harlech is pretty small, and there didn't seem to be much to do if it was a grey day other than visit Harlech Castle - which was great - but if you're there on a nice, warm & sunny day, the coastline is immense. The Y Branwen Hotel was lovely, if a little on the small side,...

Spent 1 night on our trip through Wales.. Room was on smaller size showing its age however both bed and bath rooms were spotless. Our room was facing busy road but wasn't bothered by noise. Could walk to Castle and tourist stores but all uphill. Plenty of parking on site and WI-FI reception was adequate.. Young man who checked us...

We had booked this hotel online and stayed 2 nights for our trip to North Wales. It is located on the lower road around Harlech and is directly below the castle. We enjoyed our stay, although the owners were OOT when we were there and so information was lacking. The young staff was quite helpful however. The room was basic...
