Fantastic bed and breakfast lovely gardens to unwind and relax in.comfortable clean rooms SWAN and MALCOM were fantastic hosts nothing was to much trouble outstanding breakfast 5star all round accommodation we will be back soon ideal location for visiting the town of Prestatyn and surrounding areas would highly recommend to family and friends
My partner and I stayed here on Bank Holiday Monday with our youngest child. Malcom and Swan are warm and welcoming hosts, nothing is too much trouble and they were fantastic with our little girl (who never stops talking). Our room was lovely with some fab period features and a mini fridge with milk to make a proper coffee! The beds were also incredibly comfortable, I'd love to know what mattress was on my bed as its the best night's sleep I've had in a very long time! The breakfast was fantastic and locally sourced, according to my daughter its the best bacon ever! We enjoyed some time in the gardens after breakfast, which was absolutely beautiful and ny daughter loved the tree house. We look forward to staying again
Thanks for a lovely stay malcolm and swan in a period rom with great breakfast and service see you again son as we can i loved the garden and the dragon. Slight leak on shower malcolm so you can get your monkey wrench out of storage🤣
Exemplary covid safe procedures and perfect hospitality at the very start of Offas Dyke path. Malcolm and Swan were really helpful heating up our evening meal. Rooms were v comfortable. One of the best breakfasts in Wales. Would def.recommend to anyone starti g or finishing Offas Dyke or simply visiting Prestatyn
The welcome and breakfast here were both good and there is an utterly charming garden at the back of the building. My bed was comfortable but I could hear anything and everything going on in the bedroom below! A very reasonable place in general.
Stayed for one night on completion of Offa's Dyke National Trail. We arrived mid-afternoon socking wet and muddy, but were made very welcome by Our host Malcolm, who was an happy to advise of places to eat and drink etc. Cosy, homely rooms with good washroom facilities and a guest lounge to chill out in. Good hearty breakfast cooked expertly by Swan. The prefect place to say at the end of a long walk.
Well we only called to collect our bags and use the shower room at the end of the Offas Dyke Walk which conveniently was a garden outhouse which was just as well as we were wet and dirty but the owner was very friendly offering us tea and cake which sadly we had to decline but had an interesting chat about the old house. Still another mile to end of trail but we were told by others the best place to stop in Prestatyn
Thank goodness our usual guesthouse in Prestatyn was fully booked or we would have never have found this little gem. Truly delightful "shabby chic" interior very nostalgic beautiful oasis of a garden. Best of all were our hosts Malcom and Swan the most kind interesting, attentive and unintrusive hosts. A pleasure to meet you both and the breakfast was"amazing" thank you Swan I'll cook mushrooms that way for ever. Would definitely recommend Phil and Gail from Manchester.
This booking was last minute after being let down elsewhere but it turned out for the best. It was perhaps a little more than I would have liked to spend on one night stay but actually I do feel it was well worth it. We arrived very early after travelling for 5 hours and the owners were so kind and let us check in early. They welcomed us warmly and showed my son and I to our room. It was cosy and warm and we were shown how to adjust the heating to suit us and invited to use the dining area and seating areas as we wished in addition to our room. The room we booked was a double bed with wet room and it was well equipped and comfortable. Everything was clean and tidy. There were tea and coffee making facilities inc a kettle, a hairdryer, mini fridge, wardrobe with extra blankets and shower gel and soap in the wet room. We were asked what time we wanted our breakfast, which was included in the price and if we had a dietary requirements - I am vegetarian and gluten-free so it's not always easy to eat away from home but when it came to breakfast the next day the owners had obtained gluten-free options for me which was really kind of them. Breakfast was generous with a selection of cereals, bread/toast, fresh and dried fruit, juice and tea. There was a menu also for cooked breakfasts which they made to order. While waiting on breakfast, which is served in their pretty sunroom overlooking their lush and beautiful garden, we were advised on places to visit and told we were welcome to use the B&B as a base until our train later that day if we wanted to safe lugging bags around all day. ` The only downside I'd say was that the wifi was quite weak -when travelling with a young child it's nice to be able to catch up on work etc at the end of the day/bedtime so it would have been nice if the wifi was a little more reliable but not the end of the world…
This lovely and convenient B&B is right on the Offa's Dyke Path, amazing! The owner had forgotten about our reservation and was out of town, which we luckily learned the day before when inquiring about early check-in, so the walking company (Absolute Escapes) got involved, arrangements were quickly made, key under a stone, a friend made breakfast, the luggage taxi knew where to leave luggage in a shed... Room was just big enough with tiny bathroom but the shower worked and there was parking which mattered at the end of our hike and the start of a road trip. It's about a 10-minute walk to pubs and restaurants downtown and to the beach and the official end (or start) of the ODP. Beautiful place. I can't recall if there was a common room but wifi worked fine. Breakfast was served in a conservatory on the back of the house facing a garden. Very peaceful and comfortable. Recommended. Don't know the price (booked by walking company).…
