We arrived friday 12th, we have been here many times my grandchildren love it here. We have read some reviews here about noise music pools rodeos, an to be totally honest there was a large group here when we arrived they did have a rodeo on 1 afternoon which wasnt a problem to us, they invited the kids of camp to join in, my granchildrens eyes lit up, they were so excited, as there is not alot to do on the camp for kids on a hot day apart from the park which was to hot for the kids to play on. an yes music was playing in the day time, it was a roasting hot day an they had a pool for kids to cool down just as we did. They were just a family having fun with their children, they was quiet of a night time no nosier than any other tent that was on the feild. Including us, 2 nights i think they even went out as we never heard a peep from them or seen them. Jo and ian that run the camp are lovely people and wont tolerate noise after 10, we were asked have we been disturbed by any noise which we wernt. Some people just like to moan about anythink and dont know how to enjoy themselves. We cant wait to come back again when the weather nice again.…

Never stayed before and won't be staying again. We arrived to set up to be greeted by a group of people 20 plus. Music blasting swear words constantly. Pools layed out all over and them taking over the water tap. Bucking bronco and to top it off a dog that none stop barking even threw the night. they were on none electric and using electric. Then the family's sending kids over trying to take our children's toys claiming they were all there's. Safe to say packed up early and left. Site clearly not monitored and dont care what types of people they attract
Unfortunately I cannot give this place 0 stars, we arrived here on Wednesday on the camping site, looked beautiful, we set all up and spent out first night there, the toilets are about a 5 minute walk from the camp site (not an issue) not enough lighting for the night if you did have to make the walk though. The second day we went to the beach which is absolutely beautiful and then we came back to cook tea at the tent, to be greeted by by a a metre high sound system which had been rigged up to some campers van and there 5 tents and a camper van that was on the site so music was blaring, music finally went off or down and we tried to go to bed baring in mind we had a 1 year old an 8 year old a 10 year old and a 13 year old with us we had football being played until 2am swearing being shouted the ball being kicked at the tent. So the next day we were extremely tired. The party people then had more people arrive a total of 12 tents at least 8 cars a camper van 2 transit vans and out comes a bucking bronco! By this time they had filled 3 paddling pools and taken over the water station with there own hose pipe, I ring the office to be told that they will send some one down, nobody came down and more people were arriving I rang back and she said they have rang and told them well it never stopped the base of the music was just shaking the ground so we ended up leaving a day early!! When I knocked in the caravan to hand the fob back to them the man there said he could hear anything... its a good 5 minute walk away from where they are I told him the field absolutely stank of weed they were smoking and all I got was it was a 17 birthday party!!! No all you are thinking about is the money you were making even someone on your caravan pitch said its a dump and you just let anyone on there and it's always like this you should be ashamed of yourselves you call yourselves family friendly! Not in a million years would we take our kids back there and as for the management you are an absolute disgrace after just slamming the door on me! Avoid this place at all cost!!…
The site is lovely and clean with good spacing around the caravans . The tea room is superb with a lovely brekkie there today ( book in advance ) and lovely cake and coffee on a previous visit . The toilets /showers are clean and well maintained . The site is nice and quiet but lots of kiddies to be seen riding their bikes or playing as kids should do .
We have just left and although we had a wonderful time and the staff wer lovely and friendly, we can't help but only give a 3 for the review. 1st of all the toilets are 2 far away especially if you have children, there is no way even I would of made it let alone a child, so I strongly advise you bring a bucket to tinkle in, I also noticed that if someone is having a shower that the place gets flooded easily. I have no idea how as I found it difficult to have a shower without holding the button in ( they are like the swimming bath showers with a push button on the wall) but litterally lasted 10 seconds before the water went off. 2nd thing was that it appeared that people who own a towing caravan took it upon them selves to make a one way system for us to get off the tenting area and blocked the road with there cars so we had to drive back down the one way system they had made, this made me feel intimidated and for this wasn't a very pleasant stay, I get that they want to keep there children safe but what about the children on the other side, the rules clearly state thst driving over 5mph will not be tolerated, so if someone.was speeding then they should have been reported to the site management. It's such a shame as we own a caravan on robin hood so for us we wanted a site close by to camp regular but I don't think we will be back. Mr and Mrs Poulter…
So just got home from visiting this site. First camping holiday for my 1 year old daughter so we only booked 2 night just incase. The price was great in my opinion especially during the summer holidays and for an electric hook up, the tent field was very spacious and the amenities were very clean, despite some other reviews that I had read on the matter. Only one set of taps worked in the washroom but so long as there wasn't a lot of people wanting to do the dishes it wasn't an issue. The play area was good but only really ideal for those children of an older age, although my 1 year old did enjoy the swing. Staff were friendly both on the phone and in person again completely the opposite of a review I read about staff being rude. However I have only given a 4 star rating as there were a couple of gripes, the toilets, showers, and washroom facilities are located next to the reception, this meant that they were a short distance away from the field tent so if you have young ones make sure you take a potty as the likelihood of making it to the toilets in time is risky. Maybe a switch around of the touring pitches and the tent field. The only other issue was that whilst dogs are allowed on site on the caravans, the area in which they can be exercised is in the tent filed, the rules do state that dogs need to be kept on the lead but we had a few that weren't and this did cause some concern as my children were playing by the tent when the dogs were running loose. Overall a good staging point to hit other areas, including Talacare, Conwy and Prestatyn. I would go again.…
As I was cycling from Bangor to Chester the campsite was positioned just right for me. Reception friendly and facilities excellent. Pity food not available on Tuesdays but very good Carvery across the road. As I was solo I turned in early as I wanted to be away bu 06.30. Unfortunately visit was totally spoilt by a large group from the Liverpool area. 20+ kids were well behaved but to hear the shouting and screaming from the adults still going strong at 2AM. Not acceptable. They were not setting an example to the kids in their care. Be warned, even if you are the other side of the field, check if big groups around. Spoilt my trip.
Beautiful site but the lady on reception is so rude not helpful what so ever everything is too much trouble for her Looks down her nose at you at any questions asked - apart from that the site is lovely close to lots of activities beaches etc but for the simple reason the rude women on reception we will not be spending any money here and visiting again - such a shame !! Think someone needs a lesson in customer service & I wasn’t the only one on site saying this !!
