The holiday was ok. the site is in a good position for local shops and Prestatyn is a short walk from the site. Whilst there I slipped and fell in the bath come shower. There were no handles on the bath to help me get out. I wrote to the management to complain and was totaly ignored. I wrote a second time(useing a signed for letter) just to make sure that they received my letter and got no reply. If you are elderly or infirm in any way, This is not the site for you . Stay away from PONTINS Prestatyn.

This place is fantastic if you want a holiday with: Seagulls, Ants in every room on the 2nd floor, Dirty rooms, Extremely hard sofa beds, Rubbish laying around, Dirty laundry piles located randomly, Poop on windows, Dirty fridges, lampshades that are thick in dust, Disrespectful people and a 70's themed park with sticky floors and carpets you wipe your feet on the way out! There are people taking trolleys for a walk around with those bristle things n dustpans, hoovers n some sort of squirty bottles haha, think they're for show 🙊. The carpets within the activity building, ive thrown away better! If this place is still standing in 5 years it better have a building inspection report, walk on the stairs and hold the balconies with caution!! Anyway enough negatives, we had fantastic weather, Prestatyn and Rhyl were ok, and Zipworld was fab for adrenalin junkies! The bathroom was the best place for the week except for the moving taps haha. Save your money unless you're living in worse conditions.

I have already submitted a review, got a message to say thank you for your review and your review will be published shortly....perhaps my review was so bad Pontins didn't put it on. Do not go, absolutely filthy inside and out. We checked in and out again within about 30 mins. We got a full refund. It's a absolute disgrace Pontins offer this accommodation and also The Sun for offering the accommodation in the first place. Surley we all have standards? This place doesn't come anywhere close to even the basics. If I could give a zero rating I would.

Good start, large carpark, keys hand over smooth. The blocks look like they were built in the 50's. Our room was a standard 4 person. There Is a room with 2 singles, we then realised that the sofa was our double. Omg it was so uncomfortable. Kitchen has been wiped down but the floor had not been swept let alone mopped. We had 4 single quilts, 2 had stains all over them. Had to go an get a double quilt, simple process but not what I should be doing. Our toilet took a very long time to fill back up, shower was OK. Always hot water and the cooker was very good. The shop on site is expensive but 5 minutes drive away is a retail park, big tesco, boots etc. Site was tidy and friendly. Evening entertainment was good. The beach is 5 minutes walk away, beautiful golden sand and clean. We had a great holiday. Everyone enjoyed it shame it was let down by the tired, dated and uncomfortable apartment.

Arrived early for check in, after driving from Hampshire, was given keys to a so called apartment in block 21, first we had to fight our way past roosting sea gulls then up a set of rusty steps to an upper level. OMG I have never seen such a disgusting room in all my life. I hope you can see from the attached pictures. 1950's decor, filthy oven for self catering, mattresses badly stained and no doors on a wardrobe, couldn't see out of the windows for dirt and bird droppings. My wife felt physically sick, we left after a few mins, back to reception where we handed back our keys, voiced are disgust and left, without an offer of any refund!! Driving back to Hampshire, a total waste of time and a holiday. This holiday was booked through The Sun newspaper media offer. I strongly recommend The Sun drops Pontins from their promotional offers, with immediate effect.

Dated and in need of modernisation. Extremely dirty and not up to any form of hygiene standards. The hand rail on the stairs leading to the apartment was a health and safety hazard. The staff on reception were doing their best to be helpful by offering another room which was next door to the original and in no better condition. We decided to cut our losses and leave, and drive the 300 miles home. Other guests were having the same problem and also left.

We paid for an upgrade chalet, were given wrong bedding to carry to our accomodation, which had 2 double quilts and only one single. Reception said they would send a single. They didnt had to collect it ourselves. The chalet floor was filthy, I saw cleaners with trollys with a hoover on them but our floor was thick with dust, hairs bits of cotten, crumbs and a sequin, let along a mop to wash it. Curtains dirty, quilts dirty, sheets provided were so slippery hard to even make the beds. I dont go on holiday to start cleaning - why should you have to. All outside things for children were closed, the pub was closed, went to evening entertainment once and people were sitting in their overcoats ! Lots of dead leaves and paper outside, needed a good clean of the site why is this not done during the winter months.

We have just returned from Pontins. I can say i was skeptical before we arrived. We went with cleaning products thinking we'd be spending hours cleaning our apartments. I got it all done in 20 minutes. They're not the cleanest apartments but if you give it a wipe it's a perfectly good place to sleep and shower! Thats all we used it for. The resort is a little run down and old , but it's not a worry for a 3 year old running around having the time of her life! Its the memories that count. The facilities are amazing, theres so much to do we spent 2 of our 4 days on the resort! If you go at the right time they will be open, everything was open each day we were there(minus the skatepark) which wouldn't be any use to us anyway. The bluecoats are amazing! They go above and beyond for the kids, they're definitely in the right job! All i can say is if you're expecting 5* on a budget then you're looking at the wrong place. These are the kinds of holiday I went on as a child and I loved them! My daughter loved it too! We will definitely be returning wether we have a dirty apartment or not!
