I was very frustrated with Vodaphone letting me down after being with them for nearly 30 years, my phone had been disconnected after one bill though the banks fault not transferring direct debit properly and it was only three weeks late, they gave me one days notice and cut my connection, I was travelling business wise to formby and had to make phone calls when I arrived to meet people up. The travelogue in northop was on my way, I went in to ask if I payed to make a call to my husband so he could sort it out, and Sean kindly gave me his personal phone for me to use without any questions, just purely willing to help me, I recommend this gentleman for being so kind, I did get my phone back on within the time I got to formby and didn’t loose any business, thank you Sean I am so grateful, I saw three accidents to and from formby and that’s why I was considered also it’s not the best road at the best of time, especially a windy and awful rainy day. He is a star. If more people where like Sean, the world would be a better place. Julie oneill

You don't have high expectations when using travelodge but you expect to be able to sleep in a comfy bed and come back from a day out to be able to make a drink, the beds were uncomfortable, the pillows solid, the maintenance guy blew all the sockets in our room so we returned to a cold room and no way to make a warm drink. The receptionist managed to finally switch the rooms around after about 2 1/2 hours of not being able to reach maintenance. The second room hadn't been cleaned properly but it was warm at least. The carpark was a rubbish dump for the Greg's next door and consequently as soon as the sun went down became a rat playground. Clearly the staff were trying their best but with limited support and resources

Rooms was very clean, and really spacious. Hotel very easy to find and only a short distance to Chester zoo (which is also amazing). Customer service was great with excellent service received from Sean who went above and beyond with our enquiries.

Clean & Good service. We had a last min booking. Had drinks at the bar & breakfast. Breakfast a bit greasy, but plenty of mixed fruits & staff couldn’t have been more helpful. They made a point of telling us to get a refund as we’d paid for room and meal on booking.com but arrived/booked in late so that was an error.

The first room we were given was not made up but the receptionist was very apologetic and immediately gave us another room. The carpet in the corridor was very stained so was not very welcoming but the room was clean

The staff were lovely and very welcoming. Our room only had 2 pillows and there weren't any spares, so that wasn't ideal, but the bed was very comfortable and the room was warm. The room was a bit dusty/cobwebby and the bathroom was a bit dirty also, but the shower pressure was excellent. Overall, this is a good place to stay on a budget and we would stay there again.
