A great stay This Hotel is NOT located in a City / town centre , however if you are looking for a good value hotel on the edge of many amazing areas in easy driving distance of & including Chester & North Wales i highly recommend You will find friendly staff , a great breakfast & a team who care about their guests. We use the hotel for business & after over 12 months of regular visits I don’t know of a better venue for rock solid customer service in the area.

Reception staff was very welcoming, was here for just one night, the room was very clean, including the toilet, good location. I recommend this place and anytime I visit Wales I will definitely stay here.

We had our daughter's Christening party here last weekend and we were so pleased. All the staff were amazing and so accomodating, considering we had booked at very short notice! The staff definitely went above and beyond to make our day flow perfectly and everybody was friendly and welcoming at all times. The modern room was a perfect size for a christening party, with room for children to have a dance. The buffet was also amazing and great value. Nothing was too much trouble and staff were always willing to help, such as arranging table decorations, finding extra cupcake stands for us and even blowing up balloons for us! Thank you again for such a lovely day.

What a pleasant surprise! Don’t let location put you off because if you need a place to stop off on your travels this is ideal. Very modern and quirky interior with a decent bar area and conservatory for dining. Bedroom and corridors less modern and in need of upgrade BUT spotless! Soap in bathroom a little weird but just being picky. Housekeeping staff all said hello as we passed. Evening meal very good. Staff were terrific, warm and friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Special mention to Gabriella who made us feel like VIPs. Breakfast buffet good choice and immaculately presented- chef from the kitchen very present refilling and keeping everything looking great. Reception team pleasant enough but being really picky, they weren’t as engaging as the F&B team. Have traveled and stayed in many IHG hotels and this one could teach some of the “big boys” a thing or two. Thanks we hope to come again one day.…

Stayed over night. The room was excellent in the morning woke up for breakfast to be greeted by a happy smiling face. Her name was Jo and to be honest she was wonderful. She was on the ball as she even asked me if I wanted a pot of tea. I had a little chat with her. She was such a lovely lady. And so different to the miserable people who usually do mornings as I travel quite a lot for work.

I booked a nights stay via hotelgift and both me and my fiancé had terrible flu, Charlotte and the team helped by typing written confirmation that I could change my dates so my voucher could be refunded so I could book with them at a later date. ( original plan was to visit a friend in the area ) , we look forward to seeing the staff once we have rebooked and can’t thank them enough for going above and beyond to handle the booking quickly and professionally.

This hotel serves its purpose brilliantly. I use it occasionally for work trips to North Wales and I always have a comfortable stay and generally use the restaurant on site which has never given me a bad meal. I've always had a warm welcome and feel immediately relaxed after a long drive. A particular thanks goes to Veronika who always has a smile on her face when welcoming guests, it goes a long way when travelling for business.

Visited 4th Nov till 6th Nov. Owner was brilliant & couldn't do enough in fact all staff were superb & helpful . Only reason I've not given full marks tbh is on returning to the hotel on the Saturday night there was a very drunk guy annoying us & he kept wondering in & out of the bar area doing a bit of swearing & we had female's with us & he wasn't told to leave. Now I know this can be awkward but you either upset one person whose becoming a nuisance or you upset 7 people who are just sitting & spending money in the bar.. this guy was there doing work nearby I think because he then proceeds to get in his van & tear across the car park with no lights on so I had to tell reception about it as he was very near to our car's. I think k he had his keys taken from him but personally I think he should have been told to leave as he then came back to bar area being a pest again. We decided to leave & go to bed which we shouldn't have to..so decent hotel & helpful staff but not dealing with disruptive people when there's obviously a problem has knocked this place down a mark.…

I didn't stay at this hotel, so I can't comment on the hotel rooms inside but what I can comment on, is the OUTSTANDING SERVICE that was given to myself and my 3 girls. Due to an accident on the motorway outside that myself and three children was involved in, the service provided by Sam and Tom was exceptional. They let my girls no coats, no shoes on as they were all asleep plus raining... go into a room at the hotel, while I had to go back outside and deal with the police. Sam and Tom was excellent with the girls checking on them, offering them food and drinks, being there for them even though we wasn't staying at the hotel, this is really humble and touch my heart as Sam and Tom didn't need to go that extra mile and help us, as we was not staying at the hotel but they did and went out of there way for me and my girls. I am extremely grateful for this service by Holiday Inn and both Sam and Tom. …
